WHERE IS OUR HUMANITY?
The man was forced to leave his home after his landlord did not renew his lease.
He attempted to obtain a loan from his employer's, but it was denied.
He sought help from a prominent figure in his community, but was unsuccessful.
Finally, he reached out to his family members for assistance, but none were able to help him..
The man turned to Facebook to ask for help but received only two likes and no comments. Feeling discouraged, he sent 120 messages to friends on his contact list, requesting N100,000 in support. Unfortunately, only 10 people responded to the message. Out of the 10, six said they were unable to provide any assistance. Only one person out of the remaining four gave him N20,000, while the rest apologized and stopped responding to his calls.
The man's landlord went as far as locking the house, leaving his family stranded at the front door with all their belongings. This caused the man to become even more frustrated. He searched everywhere for help but was unsuccessful until it became dark outside.
Tragically, as he continued to search for a solution in the dark, the man was hit by a truck and died instantly.
The following day, news of his untimely death spread rapidly. On his Facebook page, his friends made 2220 posts, expressing their sorrow and admiration for him.
After the man's unfortunate passing, the landlord quickly went to unlock the door of the house, allowing the family to receive mourners. The influential man who had previously refused to help the man, brought some food items and groceries to the family so they could cook for the mourners.
Preparations for the man's burial began shortly after his passing, with his friends forming a committee to raise funds for the occasion. Through donations, they were able to raise N1,500,000 to provide food for the sympathizers who would be coming from different places to mourn with the family.
Additionally, his co-workers raised N500,000 to acquire items such as booths and chairs for the occasion. His wife was surprised “where were all these people when my husband was alive ?” she thought. “Where was everybody when he needed them the most” she lamented.
Now by his grave side they decided to share their thoughts and feeling about the deceased, some call him an amazing friend who never seize to help others, others call him their big brother who is always there to help.
But the widow felt detached from all they do, she was livid because she saw her husband’s struggles and helplessness, she witnessed her husband at his lowest. And she wept for her dead husband who was an angel on earth, a kind soul and a free giver.
She vowed to do everything she can to raise their children, to raise them to be compassionate and helpful. She promised here husband she will do everything and he should watch her.
WHERE IS OUR HUMANITY?.
WHY ARE WE SO EAGER TO HELP THE DEAD AND NOT THE LIVING?
WHY DOES THE DEAD MATTER MORE THAN THE LIVING.
I HOPE ALL THESE GET TO CHANGE ONE HELPING HAND AND AND ANOTHER. 🙏🙏
