Nollywood actor Stan Nze is the star of Prime Video's latest supernatural action thriller Suspicion currently streaming on its platform. The movie which is heavy on action scenes and a lot of stunts, sees actor Stan Nze flex his acting muscles in whole new ways. Now, during an interview with Pulse, Stan Nze is opening up about the reality of flexing those muscles, as well as addressing those who still had negative things to say about the movie's action scenes. Here's what Stan Nze had to say.

During the interview, Stan Nze was asked "you had to do a lot of stunts in the movie can you tell us how that was for you? What toll did it take on your body?" Stan said:

STAN NZE: Talking about it, I feel fresh pains. You know, when people reach out to me and say they want to make an action film, I'm like who dey act it? Because really, it's a lot of work, a lot of sacrifices.

Early call times, late night shoots, your eyes are swollen half the time from not getting enough sleep, from fight sequences. There are things that—and I don't know how to fake things, if they say now there's a scene where they have to carry me up and throw me down, I have to push myself and keep pushing.

I had pains that I felt for months. There's a pain I felt from hitting my hand on the wall, I don't know how it disappeared but it was there for months. Like whenever I'm maybe having my bath, I'm shaking and I'm remembering Suspicion. I had all those kinds of pains so it's not something I look forward to. I'm not going to lie.

I like the fact that people are enjoying the film now and they love it, but it was a lot of work and hard work and sacrifice that I don't know the amount of money that you can be paid to incur injuries and pains. And because you want it to be good, you want it to be appreciated, you want it to be as real as possible.

And people will still come and say "oh that fight sequence, I wish it was shot better." I'm like come and take my life. The film is beautiful the way it is. Of course there's so much that can be done, there's so much more but I mean it's a step in the right direction for Nollywood.

We just see that these things are possible with more budget, with more time, because filmmaking takes time, editing. I talked to my producers and just to meet the deadline of November 28th when it came out on Prime, they had to let some things go.

I just feel like people should cut us more slack. We're in a great place generally for Nigerian films.

What do you think about what Stan Nze had to say, and about the fight scenes in Suspicion if you have seen it. Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment either below or on my Jide Okonjo Facebook post.
