Earlier we used to see them hanging in hotels or grand halls but now people have started fixing them in their homes. These ceiling lamps are specifically designed for a particular place and their price range also varies from moderate to expensive. Ceiling lamps give a new look to homes and they are very important for aesthetics purposes. They are the primary light source of a room if you choose the right one for the ambiance of your room then it would enhance your living standard. As I said that there are many types of ceilings such as downlights, up-lights, recessed lighting fixtures, track lighting systems, and many more that I am going to tell you in this article. 1) Downlights

These are the most common type of ceilings that you will find in any decent home. This light emits direct illumination downward and lights up the whole room. You can get them installed in your kitchen area or in bathrooms or in hallways too. These lights emit dim light in the area.

2) Up-lights

As the name suggests these lights are installed with the light source facing upward. It lights up the ceilings and creates calming and soothing surroundings. These lights are perfect to install in your bedroom and office spaces. If you have some carving on your ceilings and want to highlight something then this would be the best choice. You can easily get a wide variety of up-lights for your space.

3) Chandelier

A chandelier is a type of light that hangs from a chain or metal rod. It is mainly used for decoration purposes on special occasions. However, people often get confused and think that they are the same as pendant lights but it is not true because chandeliers are totally different from pendants. The chandelier has several light bulb of various sizes that are fixed in the metal body and hangs from an iron bar. You can install them in your entryway or in a drawing room.

4) Pendant Lights.

These lights also hang from a chain or metal rod. People often consider their chandeliers but there is a difference between the two because in chandeliers you may get several bulbs of various sizes while in this one there is only one. You do not need a special occasion to light them, it can be illuminated on the daily basis. In many pendant lights, there is one advantage you can adjust their heights accordingly.

5) Flushmounts

These types of ceiling lights are mounted flush against the ceiling. They are good a good choice for rooms with low ceilings. These have more fixed and pointed lights than other types. You can fix them but they look ordinary and do not serve the purpose of decoration.

6) Mount Ceiling Fan with Light

We all use ceiling fans in summer but they are just ordinary fans now it could easily be seen that people have started buying fans with lights. These new fans look very good in the fans. You can use this fan to enhance the beauty of your ceiling and your fan too.

7) Utility Lighting

These lights can be fixed where we rarely go and need a security cover to protect the space from breaking into and trespassing. You can get them fixed in your garages, storerooms, or warehouses. It offers very bright illumination that lightens up the whole area.

8) Recessed Lighting

We fix these lights into empty spaces in the ceilings. These can easily be fixed in the ceilings and do not need much space. Now people just install them for the best control over the level of illumination in the rooms.
