Zobia and Momina were very close friends. When their school holidays began, they decided to make the most of their free time. One day, they planned that the next morning they would go out for a walk and enjoy nature together. Both of them were excited about the idea and looked forward to spending a peaceful day away from their daily routine.
The next morning, they got ready early and went to a large garden near their area. They decided that they would return home before evening. As they entered the garden, Momina happily said, “Today we will explore the entire garden.” Both friends were enjoying themselves a lot. They laughed, talked, and admired the beautiful trees, flowers, and fresh air around them.
As they kept walking, they unknowingly went very far inside the garden. They were so absorbed in their walk that they did not notice how much time had passed. Suddenly, when they decided to return home, they realized something frightening—they had forgotten the way back.
At first, they tried to stay calm. They thought it would be better to sit under a tree, rest for a while, and then look for the correct path. Both of them sat down under a tree. The cool breeze and tiredness soon made them sleepy. While they slept, the weather grew colder and darkness slowly spread all around the garden.
When Zobia woke up, she saw a young boy standing in front of her. She walked toward him and asked where he lived. The boy replied, “My name is Umar, and I live very close to this garden. But what are you doing here so late at night?” Zobia explained that they had lost their way and asked if he could help her find the exit. Umar kindly said, “Follow me,” and Zobia started walking behind him.
While Zobia was being guided by Umar, Momina woke up on her own. She was shivering because of the cold. She looked around and saw a man standing in front of her. The man said, “You are feeling very cold. Come with me to my house. You can rest there and go home in the morning.” Momina was feeling weak and frightened. When she noticed that Zobia was not there, she became more worried.
Thinking quickly, Momina wrote a short note for Zobia, explaining where she was going, and left it under the tree. Then, due to her poor condition, she went with the man.
When Zobia returned and found the note, she became very anxious. She went home immediately and the next morning returned to the garden with her cousin Fatima. Together, they went to the man’s house mentioned in the note. When they knocked on the door, the man opened it and asked coldly, “Why are you both here?” They replied, “We have come to take our friend Momina.” The man replied rudely, “No one named Momina lives here,” and shut the door.
Just then, Fatima noticed Momina sitting near the window of an upper room. Realizing the danger, they decided to act carefully. That night, they returned and saw that the door was slightly open. Quietly, they entered the house, locked the man inside his room, and rushed to the room where Momina was kept. They quickly helped her escape and immediately called the police.
When the man heard the sound of the police arriving, he tried to run away, but the door was locked. The police arrested him, and the three girls safely returned to their homes.
This incident taught them an important lesson. Carelessness and overconfidence can lead to serious danger, especially for young people. However, courage, intelligence, and timely action can save lives. The friendship, presence of mind, and bravery shown by Zobia and Fatima proved that true care and responsibility can overcome even the most frightening situations.
