Dreams are the babies that the subconscious gives birth to, some are good and some are bad and you never really know what you're going to get the moment you close your eyes. It is actually scary if you think about it. Dreaming should be labeled as an extreme sport. I'm kidding. Or maybe not, I mean, sometimes I wake up with extreme anxiety over a dream. But don't you ever wonder why you had the dream you had and what does it really mean?

Here are the top 5 reoccurring dreams and what they stand for.

Partner cheating on you

That time you woke up and looked over at your partner with hate, disgust, and pure hurt because you just dreamt that they cheated on you. And they just look over at you wondering what in the world is wrong with you.

This may happen if you and your partner are going through a difficult time in the relationship. Maybe you have been arguing more, and you feel less recognized, or appreciated lately, or even insecure and you feel they are going to leave you. This is normal, unfinished disputes can cause this, it is always best to communicate and sort our your feelings with your partner.

Being chased

Imagine dreaming that you're being chased by someone, and you're trying to run as fast as you can but suddenly it becomes difficult to run. This is one of my reoccurring dreams, and it is terrifying.

Being chased in your dreams may occur during high anxiety moments. Being chased in your dreams may be due to the lack of confidence you may have in yourself. This is normal, we all doubt ourselves, take a second to focus on yourself and try and calm your mind in order to ease your anxiety. Find your pros and cons and figure out a way to improve.

Teeth falling out

I just can't with this one, it kills me every time I dream of it. It honestly feels so real it hurts!

Losing teeth in a dream may signify loss in your life. Maybe you lost a loved one, or maybe you recently had a hard break up. Or maybe you're just losing a hold on your life at the moment. This is normal, the many stresses of life can take over and express themselves in many different ways. Take a deep breath, meditate, and focus on the positive reinforcements and keep it moving forward. Better days are coming!

Falling

This is the one dream that many people experience. It's such a weird feeling too, it feels so real that you even catch yourself flinching before you hit the ground.

Falling in your dreams can be associated with stress and social anxieties. It often can mean you may have loss control over certain situations in your life. This is normal, find outlets that will help ease your mind and write out a plan to help you gain control of your life again. One step at a time.

Going back to school

I can't even count how many times I have had the nightmare of being late for school, or not being able to find clothes for school, or running around the whole school looking for my class that clearly doesn't exist. It's insane!

Going back to school dreams can signify stress in your life. It can be a wake up call in life that is telling you to tend to your issues and tackle them head on. It can mean gaining new knowledge in life and being sure to apply it. Stay focused, find what it is you need in life and get it done!

The subconscious is a tricky thing and all the many games it loves to play on us. We must remain focused at all times. We won't always win, hence these extreme dreams we tend to experience over and over. But at least we can take them and dissect them and apply them to our conscious life so to improve it. Life is everything we make of it. So if going back to school every night I close my eyes is going to keep pushing to me to gain more knowledge and skill in my every day life, then show me to my classroom please!

Anxiety and stress comes with this hectic life, but it doesn't mean we allow it to take control. Take control of your life and make all of the positive arrangements needed to get through in a happy and healthy manner. You got this!

I hope these top 5 reoccurring dreams and what they stand for helped answer some of your questions! Now, I am no specialist in dreams, I have just done a ton of research throughout my adult life to answer my own questions. Thank you so much for reading.
