There You Were

In a city that broke my heart over and over, I found you. With blue eyes, that sparkled when the sun hit them just the right way. With shoulders strong enough to rest my head on and cry a river. A heart so big, the grinch would be jealous of. baggage as large as my own, we could take a trip together. And with a little help from “the force” fate brought us together.

A young, naïve, barely graduated from high school lady with a corrupt past looking for something in this world worth fighting for. there you were. There you were to listen. To fight for me when i couldn’t fight for myself. Support me when i couldn’t support myself. There you were. The summer we fell in love, many things turned into beautiful memories. Finding our favorite place to watch the sunset on a decently hot evening. When it rained, you were there to drive my beloved 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee through it. When it was caliginous, you drove. From June 2016, you’ve been my slumber buddy. My favorite person to dream about, and wake up to.

There has been nights that I couldn’t sleep. You were there. When I’m sick, you are my nurse. Whilst having a migraine you were there holding me, rubbing my head, and bringing me cold rags. You’re always there.

We haven’t always had the smoothest ride, but this has been my favorite rollercoaster to be on. With my soulmate right next to me. Although our words of anger only seemed to hurt us, we always forgave the unspoken words we pretended not to hear. The nights we were apart, I missed you so much. I missed your presence, I missed your touch, I missed my home. And when I needed you most, you were still there.

As children, we’ve always been shown the cinematic versions of ways to love someone. As humans we’ve all tried for our happily ever after. Mines always been with you. Wherever you go, I want to be right alongside you. Whatever you want to do, I want to be there. My happily ever after has always been you.

We’ve created, a beautiful family. May 11, 2018, at 3:50 pm we had our blessing. Our ray of sunshine. The smartest little baby girl there was. My favorite memory to have created with you, is this one. The photo of us, being one big happy family who was so relieved to finally welcome our beautiful new baby into this world . The moment she was here, you could feel the relief, of your hand in my hand knowing this world I was living in couldn’t get better than this.

My wrongs in our relationship haven’t defined us. It hasn’t shown the love that pours out of my heart when I lay my brown eyes on yours. It doesn’t show the true meaning of love to you. And here I am, telling you, with every ounce of my soul, I cant ever loose you again.

You’re my number one man, my right hand. You’re the voice I don’t always have. You’re my backbone when I can’t stand up for myself. You’re my beautiful sweet boy. And in a city where nothing good came for me, you entered my world, and showed me, this world is worth walking, with you and our biggest blessing hand in hand. I’ve loved you since our first kiss. And I’ll love you always. Here’s to us.
