Once upon a time, in a bustling town, there lived two inseparable friends, Jahan and Krishna. They had known each other since their very first day at school and had formed a bond that was as beautiful as it was unbreakable. They spent every moment together, whether studying for exams, sharing lunch, or playing games after school. Their friendship was filled with joy, laughter, and endless adventures.

One day, during their summer holidays, Jahan and Krishna were excited to visit Jahan's grandparents who lived in a quiet, picturesque village. The village was a peaceful haven, far from the noise of the city, with lush green fields, crystal-clear streams, and narrow dirt roads that wound through the countryside. Jahan’s grandparents’ house was a charming old building, nestled at the edge of the village, surrounded by tall trees, and with a view that stretched across the horizon. It was the perfect place for the two friends to spend their holidays.

As soon as they arrived at the house, Jahan’s grandma greeted them with a warm smile, and his grandpa, with his gentle wisdom, invited them inside. After a hearty lunch of homemade dishes, Jahan and Krishna decided to explore the surroundings. The village felt like an endless playground to them. They spent hours playing cricket on the open fields, with the soft soil beneath their feet, and the sound of birds chirping in the background. The cool breeze from the nearby stream added to the serene atmosphere as they laughed and ran around, trying to outplay each other.

They moved from one spot to another—sometimes playing by the water, dipping their feet in the cool stream, other times racing each other down the long, dusty road that stretched beyond the village. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the fields, the two friends sat by the stream, exhausted but happy, watching the ripples in the water.

Just as they were about to return to the house for dinner, they noticed something strange. From a distance, they could see a thick cloud of smoke rising from the direction of the house. Fear struck them both, and without thinking, they ran as fast as they could. When they arrived, they saw that the smoke wasn’t coming from the house itself but from the backyard, where Jahan’s grandparents had been burning some dry leaves.

Relieved that nothing serious had happened, Jahan and Krishna helped the grandparents put out the fire safely. The old couple, smiling, thanked them for their help and explained that they often cleared the backyard in the evenings. Though there was no real danger, the event brought the friends closer, as they realized how much they cared about Jahan’s grandparents and how important their safety was.

As the night fell, they sat on the veranda of the house, gazing at the stars. The village was silent now, with only the soft sounds of crickets and the occasional rustling of leaves in the wind. Jahan’s grandma brought out warm cups of tea, and they all sat together, enjoying the calmness of the village night.

The next morning, it was time for Jahan and Krishna to return home. They packed their bags, said their goodbyes, and promised to return soon. As they walked down the village road, they felt a sense of fulfilment. The trip had not only given them new memories but had also deepened their bond.

As they boarded the bus that would take them back to the town, they couldn’t stop talking about their next visit to the village. For Jahan and Krishna, it wasn’t just a trip to the countryside—it was a reminder that, no matter where life took them, their friendship would always bring them back to each other, to the joy and laughter they had shared.

And so, their journey home was filled with excitement, knowing that wherever they went, they would always have each other, just like the sun and the moon, shining brightly in each other’s lives, forever.
