The Spirit of a Leo

There are 12 zodiac signs that have been shuffled throughout the planet and I was lucky enough to be born a Leo. I believe I embody the spirit of a Leo due to the way I carry myself and love others. Despite Leo’s notorious attributes of being selfish, arrogant and dominant, Leo’s can be one of the most beautiful, most loving people you will ever come across (inside and out)

Leo’s have a very giving and loving nature. Random gifts and positive words of affirmation are simple ways a Leo will display their love for you. I am the type of person who gives more than I ever ask for in return and I think this has to do with the loving nature I was blessed with. I enjoy going above and beyond for others, everyone has a story of their own and I believe that being loving is a powerful way to shift the negative aspects of an individual’s journey.

Growing up, I was very sheltered and lacked a sense of identity. This made me very insecure and disconnected from who I truly am. It took years of growth to regain my confidence and trust in myself the same way I would with those closest to me. I feel as though many Leo’s go through this phase of essentially feeling lost in places of abundance. Like myself, many must endure and overcome traumatic experiences in order to reconnect with that vibrant aspect of their personality and strike an expressive breakthrough. I am known for my hair and creative talents. I see my hair as an art form, a form of expression that can easily be interpreted by anyone. Because of this, I often change the colour, style and length of my hair. Writing, painting, dancing and singing are also a few of my many talents. These are just not as obvious as my hair and can take a while of getting to know me to even see or understand.

Leo is a star sign that is ruled by the sun, the element of fire is a symbol of expression, passion and divine energy. Fire is also ruled by the heart which explains Leo’s connection to all things artistic, loving and abundant. Leo's passion speaks for itself and is directed towards everything important to them. We are known for loyalty and If there is one dominant trait embedded in me, it’s definitely loyalty. Loyalty is a greater form of respect that can be showcased in many different ways. Respect goes hand in hand with reciprocation and I don’t take this lightly in any of my relationships or interactions with others.

Vibrant energy is something that automatically comes with being a Leo. Energy doesn’t necessarily mean being active at all hours of the day but is essentially who you are. Energy can never be destroyed and is only ever created or transferred from one place to another. Leo’s can be intimidating at first glance but once you take the time to get to know them, you will be infatuated. We possess an aura radiant enough to glow in the dark, it’s rare so don’t let it pass you by. People often tell me they felt drawn to me at first glance or had some sort of curiosity about me that led to the development of our interaction and relationship. This energy is the greatest essence of what it means to be a Leo.

These many traits are what make me a Leo and I am proud of them all. If you are a Leo reading this, my advice to you would be to carry on with who you truly are. Learn to differentiate arrogance from confidence and walk through life with assertion. Don’t dim your light for anyone.
