The Simulationist Church

We the people of the Simulationist church [Church of the Simulator(s)] having met on Feb. 1, 1999 within our level of the simulation on the planet designated earth, city of San Jose, State of California, and having duly debated, have agreed upon the following political principles to guide ourselves in all manner of civic life within the simulation.

Recognizing that we are simulated beings in a simulated universe is an important first step in bringing wider knowledge of simulationist thought and spreading the wisdom of the Simulator’(s). We will therefore, whenever possible;

a.) Support any simulationist candidate in any local, state, or federal election in countries for which free and fair elections take place. Support includes both financial (giving of donations to campaigns) and personal (canvasing and voting for the simulationist candidates)

b.) Support any simulationist within the ruling regime or the persons holding the reigns of power in countries for which elections are not held or are illegitimate. Support in these countries will by necessity restricted to financial or personal influence.

c.) Though we strive to support any simulationist candidate we recognize that occasionally the beliefs/platform of the simulationist candidate may differ significantly from the beliefs held by other simulationists of equally good faith and conviction. In these instances when deeply held ethical or moral values conflict no simulationist is required to support another, though we do ask that active campaigning and/or influence peddling for the opposition be restricted.

2. The political party of any simulationist member or candidate is irrelevant and we shall support no particular party nor shall we ask our members to support, nor forbid support, for any particular party with the exception of the case whereby support for said party would act in furtherance of principle (1.)

3. We will to the extent possible promote political involvement among other simulationists. In elections in which no viable candidate represents simulationsist thought we shall always strive to stand one candidate. When that is not possible we defer to principle (2.)

4. The candidate we stand for elections shall represent whatever party they desire and hold whatever beliefs comport most closely with their own convictions. However, they shall also support, in secret if necessary, the newly formed Simulationist People’s Party (SPP)…..missing…red smoke shall be our call sign and fire our uniting symbol…..

Question 15. In what way does the simulationist differ from the non simulationally submerged?

Answer: The non submerged have no understanding of the simulated nature of reality (the universe and ourselves within it). They are ignorant, but it is not their fault. The great source code has chosen a different path for them. The path is not one of pre-destination thanks to the wisdom of the Simulator(s) and his/their construction of a near infinite energy quantum computer to run the simulation, which by its very nature introduces an element of total and absolute randomness to the program and thus to all our lives. The simulationist understands all these things, he knows about them and accepts them. He has been blessed with a certain foresight or foreknowledge from where we know not, though many believe the Simulator(s) him/themselves intended it as such, and programmed such foreknowledge into the source code at the time of running.

22. Question: Do simulationists reject existing religions?

Answer: All religions which have existed hitherto were expressions of historical stages of development of individual peoples or groups of peoples. But simulationism is that stage of historical development which makes all existing religions superfluous and supersedes them. In the name and on the mandate of the Congress.
