Well this is it, my first post. Firstly I'd like to thank you if you are reading this as you have taken the time to look through my page and see what it's all about.

Before I start, my English has never been great so if I do spelling mistakes or something doesn't sound right I apologise.

So to begin, if you haven't you should read my story (story is on www.inyourbackyard.uk) and got a background on why I created my webpage, if you have already then great carry on!

My main goal is to be able to gain enough following to make this a source of income for my family so we can be able to explore all the places around the UK and show you via our blog or in our photographs. How can you help? Just by being here and reading you are helping, you might like a picture we have taken so you could share it with your friends, you might like a product that we have used so you can buy it via our links. Even just liking our posts gives us a sense that we are reaching people which is fantastic.

We have travelling around a bit last year before and in between lockdowns and you can see our memories across the page. We have more plans outside of lockdown to be able to show you more of our beautiful country and I hope you follow us on our journey.

I have always loved to travel, as a child our family holiday was never abroad but across the UK, I think that's where the passion came from. Campsites, beaches, forests, lakes and mountains, I've been to them all but as a child I only captured the beautiful places in memory. I only wish now that I had a camera to preserve the amazing hotspots that I'd been when I was younger.

Now I am grown up and have a family of my own, I have been thinking a lot lately about my childhood memories of going away on holiday and the excitment that came with it. The breathtaking views, the exhilarating adventures and most importantly quality time with the people I love.

2020 was a tough year, stuck inside, limited on what we could do. It gave me a lot of time to reflect on how much I was working and how precious time with my family is. I want to be able to create the memories I had while growing up with my family. I don't remember half of the toys I had growing up but I remember the time spent together.

The number of places to visit is endless across the UK, there are over 49,000 cities, towns & villages. You don't even have to go far to find some beauty spots, look high, look low and they will appear.

I have been to many of places and I plan to go too many more, I want to show you the wonderful scenery, fantastic views and historical buildings so you can see what the UK has to offer without having to get the passport out.

A lot of the places I visit will be free and accessible for all but some will have costs. I hope I can show those who aren't able to travel due to many reasons some of the wonders that I can visit in person.

Imagination is the key to adventure. When I was young, running around a campsite with sticks with children I'd met on that day but in my mind we were best friends fighting off dragons with our swords. Those are the memories that stick.

An adventure doesn't have to be expensive, it doesn't have to be theme parks or zoos. You can have an adventure anywhere as long as you have imagination. Walking through a forest turns into to a fairy hunt, playing on the beach turns into a treasure hunt.

Museums, theme parks, farms and other attractions are great fun as well but I know they can be costly, a treat once in a while if you can is key for the children to enjoy their childhood and better than being at Home.

Waking up, hearing waves on the beach and when I look out the window, seeing the sunrise over the sea. I dream of freedom and no restrictions, no check out times and no hotel fees. Just my family, a converted van and the open road.

I have always wanted to buy a van and convert it into a travel machine. Solar panels on the roof, clever designs for space inside like the Japanese flats and somewhere that feels like a home but on wheels.

One of the reasons I dream of travelling on the open road is the easiness and accessibilty to be able to capture the fantastic views. The stunning scenery and incredible building are just a few things I love to capture with a camera.
