The City Spoke about You!

I know they didn't make a song about you yet.

Her beauty gave new meaning to me.

Like a shooting start in the night, I saw your page and this story came to mind. Now believe this or not, but this was from the top of my head! Yes, this story came so clear to me, beforehand I had trouble going to bed! Yes, the day He made you, He was on the very top of His Game! Flawless He knew that He couldn't give to anyone, but you are so very close. Let me get to this story before I forget it.

The city spoke of you and people came from miles around. Many started to camp out to see what the fuss was about. Surely men and even women mumbled while waiting in line and even the Sun stopped shining to stand in line to see this natural beauty that all the land spoke about. People started to sell tickets and the crowd was getting uneasy, for hours past and the Mayor of the city would not let people in to witness the flow and your poise you gave.

The courts started to pass laws and the officials gave long-winded speeches, but no one had the slightest idea or delicate answer as to why the withholding of your beauty was such a priority. Then all of a sudden, the Mayor addressed the crowd and stated that the one who could come with the most pure and fair words, they may have a shot to approach this lady. He mentioned that this is not an auction of funds or precious jewels, but the one with the fairest heart will have the opportunity to dine with this lovely woman for one night.

Many men started to jot down lines and practice great words as they pontificated words that they thought would impress this lovely lady. Others started to shove and fight in line, trying to get the first chance to seduce the ears with what they thought were the finest of poetic words.

Then there was one who stood as the wind started to slightly blow. A soft slanted rain descended from above as the sun started to retire, which gave the perfect natural tint to the evening. The soft gentleman gave look to the bass player who appeared to have too much to drink, but he gave the perfect line to compliment the unspoken words. As the soft gentlemen started to speak, the lovely lady gave notice to a tear from his face. Not to be mistaken from the rain that calmly slanted and gave the perfect drop in temperature from the hot spring day. The crowd waited in anticipation, waiting on what the soft gentlemen was about to say.

The soft gentleman said:

This day will never happen again and my eyes will never see you past tonight unless you give me permission. So let me stand here one moment and give you words that will hopefully give you the reason to say yes, or let me cherish the moment that I would soon be missing.

To walk and hold your hand would give me a special and unique feeling. The look in your eyes and display of your smile gives me the idea that you have something within that provides the heart a good healing. If I could tell you one thing and even before I step away, visions of you could be very sad if you decided to slip away.

Within this night, you will hear many words and might not remember them all. Just know as I stand here today, I can assure you that I will be around throughout the test of time from season to season and you wont be able to count the time or tell the difference from winter to fall.

I'm sure you heard it all before, guys promising you this and that and even saying they can take you to various places from shore to shore. As I stand here soft and plain, and offering my very best at the present moment in time. I'm sure you will appreciate me in time as I show you the many ways I can shine.

The city may speak about you and marvel about your rare beauty and count the many ways. However, allow me to give you the opportunity to have your heart feel a different beat for the rest of your days.

The bass line stopped and the rain continued to blow softly. The soft gentlemen opened his umbrella, turned around and walked away.
