The book and money that will change the world

Peace, one person at a time.

By Stacy McMahonPublished 5 years ago 4 min read

After not leaving the house for days I decided to go get the mail. In the pile of bills I saw a legal size golden envelope, I opened it forgetting that in 2020 I entered the contest “How to save Humanity”. I ripped open the envelope and there was a letter that read, Star Evans you have won $20,000 dollars and a 2 tickets to the 2021 Humanitarian night in Washington DC.

This is the luckiest day I have ever had, besides the day I gave birth to my 3 Cherubs. I can’t believe I won 20K for entering a contest “How to save Humanity”. My essay described, what we could do to save this harsh world we live in now. The Pandemic of COVID, shinned the light and darkness of Humanity and I took the opportunity to pour my perspective of the world we live in, into this essay.

2020 and the COVID took a toll on me and I needed a project, something to relieve me of the funk that 2020 left within me. 2020, was a hard year for me. My Mother (my warrior) battled cancer for the second time, My grandmother passed away and one of the loves of my life, my fur Princess Sky passed away. I was devastated and needed a creative outlet, my grief of 2020 was rolling in like a Thunderstorm at the Ocean, and the waves were crashing as the thunder was striking.

My whole mindset changed on this fine day, I received 20K from a contest that I had forgotten about. Now I had the resources needed to use towards a creative outlet that will help grow and inspire others in need or like-mindedness. My mind started to compute ideas like a computer, I could not slow my mind down long enough to catch an idea then, it came to me. I have a good job in Corporate America that pays me well, with that said, I’m going to put the 20 K down on a nice secluded large piece of land in New Hampshire.

My land search started as my mind was on high speed compute with lots of innovation and ideas. Later that day my mind started to settle with a little bit of silence and meditation. Bingo! I had the idea of what to do with the land. I was going to take all 10 acres of the land in NH and establish a Community called Soul Happenings. This was an opportunity to form a community in 2021 that will help the folks in need. This pandemic has taken a toll on many, my funk in 2020, I described to you was nothing compared to some families and folks.

I started calling friends and networks to help me brainstorm and setup the plans for our mission to help the needy of 2021. We all united and walked the grounds to figure what the infrastructure and design would be for our new village, Soul Happenings. As I walked off alone in the woods, I stumbled into a bush and found a black book, yeah when we think black book we think magic or players dating lists, not this one.

I sat on the soft grass in the woods and held this magical magnetizing book in my hands. What could it be? I can feel harmony and peace as I as I held the book. I opened it and there was a list of very prominent Humanitarians in this book. The book was a book that was passed around the world and mysteriously placed in places for the chosen ones to find. You wouldn’t believe the people that have touched, written and read this book. This book was started by a mysterious spiritual group that wanted to change the world. They wanted a think tank for all the Enlighted ones. The ones that are enlightened are the ones that stumble across this book.

In this book is idea’s that have been written by Gandhi, Buddha, Deep Chopra, Dali Lama, Eckhart Tolle, Doreen Virtue, and various other enlightened ones, folks I didn’t know but felt as if I did after I read their thoughts and ideas on Humanity. The boiler plate was, we are all one and should always pay it forward when we can. This is a golden sign from above that the Soul Happenings Community must begin, so I can pay it forward and help those in need from this pandemic as well as homeless.

We all teamed back up for dinner, at the dinner table I told everyone what I had found. I told them I found a Black book in the woods, I told them it felt as if it’s was the Holy Grail to change the world for the better. We all ate drank and were merry, after dinner we all went to our tents to go to bed. The following morning we were going to start marking where we wanted to set up and build the new homes and structures.

6 am and the sun is shining, I woke from my tent and found most folks sitting around the campfire having coffee. We all figured with 10 acres, we could build many structures and homes. I was excited and tired from all the hiking around our new community land. Around 3 pm, we all gathered again and determined to wrap it up since it was Sunday and we all had to go back to work on Monday. We all agreed to meet the following weekend to continue our mission.
