A girl's attempt to break free of psychological societal systems

By DharaniPublished 4 years ago 3 min read

I’ve always had a sensation of living on the edge of life, where the next moment would be a psychological abyss out of which I shall never a find a way out. Only in such depths which have no end we tend to look for a purpose, we might not find one but we shall intend to believe in one. Such purpose comes out of hopelessness, but we all human beings tend to consider it as the most profound and attach the highest of human values to it. But i’m only capable of seeing it as a shallow one, what comes out of perpetual choice-less state is shallow, it is devoid of options; it pushes you towards a choice rather than allowing you a chance to pick one.

Though I’ve described it as a personal experience , isn’t it what we all face in our daily lives ? Isn’t this a reason why we fix ourselves to time-frames of routines. Routine is not just a day-day aspect but it is a life aspect, a routine life includes a job, then marriage, then children in between these instances there is a sense of settlement somewhere, which are all pseudo, but there is a profound belief in them as the utmost realities. The belief is so greatly penetrated that it is seen as ultimate purpose of life. But to look at it as an alien to this concept, does it not look like a sham of a life-long engagement, keeping us all away from building innovative and creative social systems and conforming us to a standardized life. It feels like a McDonald’s burger system that is artfully crafted to have no deviations and variables throughout the world.

If all of these are untrue or pseudo or mere human creations that could crumble with a new thought process, what is true! what is reality! have we deviated so far that our state of choicelessness has become the ultimate and only reality to us ? No, we haven’t. If we have gone that far, the questions like purpose of life and meaning of life wont be posed. It is vital to understand that these questions cant come from external sources these should arise out of personal experiences of loss of purpose and not out of mere boredom. If they come from external source, an answer from someone external shall answer it as a mere question, if they come from boredom, an event of engagement shall satisfy you and leave you in same state once the event ends.

To understand and decipher reality from a state of utter choicelessness, we must have an understanding of such state. For that we must have an intense observation skill, the depths of the systems cant be understood if you look at them as natural, because that’s how they seem. They seem as natural as gravity and sunlight but we take these social systems for granted as we took environment for granted till now, and we stand in a space where we have quickened the process of extinction. Human systems have deep-rooted complexity that our understanding of our own brain is minuscule and we don’t understand the deep-seated existing connections. With such minuscule understanding we assume our position to be the highest in the hierarchy of all the beings and make misinformed choices. With same amount of understanding we’ve created multiple systems, with an over valuation of such systems we have excluded all the variable understandings of other forms of human existence. Homogeneity and standardization has become a rule and a norm based on unreliable myths.

In the process of deconstruction we must see ourselves as a part of world and divorce an understanding of capacity to control things, but should be able to see the life as a process of flow of river, whose distinct nature is unrestrained inhibition. While the human language might transmit the meaning of words, it is rare that we understand the intent of words, intent as such is a language of human mind, whose roots are earnestly fixed in the current social system. Once we cultivate a sincere and wise realization of such keen systems, we might learn a way to acknowledge the human capacity to exist in its intelligent sense.
