Tariq Hisny – A Musician Helps Charity
Izhaar-e-Ishq fame composes music with Non-profit organization Global Giving to earthquake hit Turkey and Syria

Introduction
Tariq Hisny, known as Tariq, a Sri Lankan Composer, Arranger, Pianist, Record Producer, and a Singer who works predominantly in the Indian Music Industry. Born in Puttalam, Sri Lanka. During his early days, he used to sing songs as a karaoke artist.
Tariq stepped into compose music in 2016 when he worked with south Indian playback singer Yazin Nizar for a romantic song “Bin Tere” (from the Hindi album Izhaar-e-Ishq), which has been featured in Indian subcontinent and Middle East countries among the youth soon after the release. Having Yuvan Shankar Raja, AR Rahman and Karthik as his inspirations, Tariq has composed and arranged number of soundtracks and background scores.
Tariq has received critical acclaim for his work Izhaar-e-Ishq, a Hindi album recorded in Riyadh, Bangalore and Chennai and released in India 2016. His first Tamil song “Hey Penne” with Sathyaprakash also become known soon after the release.
Music For Charity
Tariq loves charity as he supported organizations, colleges and people through his music. Recently, he has released a soundtrack with a Non-profit organization Global Giving to earthquake hit Turkey and Syria. The soundtrack named as “Turkey-Syria Earthquake 2023.”
Speaking about what inspired him to compose music for earthquake hit Turkey and Syria? and how did the soundtrack happen?
“We know what has happened for Turkey and Syria during this catastrophic earthquake. As a human, we must contribute something, or we must help people who involve, or we must help in any of our capacity. People need food, money, and basic infrastructure facilities. As a musician It’s my privilege to support with my art, and I believe music can portray the message and get inspired.”
“No one has inspired me to compose music for earthquake hit Turkey and Syria. When I saw the tragic scenes, I was broken. And when I started thinking about what I can do for these people, I found the ways.”
“I was working on some other track and then pushed to work this soundtrack due to its emergency in terms of fundraising campaign. I started working with Global Giving Team to produce the soundtrack. I asked my team including editor, cinematographer, writer, and other crew to support this cause voluntarily. They have accepted my request and supported me nicely. I would say it’s a collective effort.”
“Upon release, my Record Label, Music Publishers and Distributers also supported me in a broad level to release the music worldwide.”
Speaking on continuing his support to charities?
“I’m open to support any good causes if my time permits. If you think you can create stories, spread good messages, stop violence and help people I would like to be the person behind that musical score.”
“It’s quite difficult to manage the workload between recordings, and other artworks. But when it really matters, I would look to work and implement.”
“Similarly last year I have composed and sung a song for a college. But this Turkey-Syria project is pretty much Global indeed, which makes it really special.”
Tariq Hisny, a talented musician who intends to support good causes in any of his capacity.
According to his catalogue, he has released multiple soundtracks, instrumentals, songs, and albums to date. Tariq has been collaborating with Indian playback singers, lyric writers, and studio engineers since 2016.
His recently released Tamil song “Asathura” featuring Sri Lankan singer RA Rashid Ali also become known in online streaming platforms soon after the release.
It is noted that he makes time to support people voluntarily who really require supports, and it’s one of the best of his kind.
