Nollywood actresses Bisola Aiyeola and Kehinde Bankole were the latest guests on Memories with Tope Olowoniyan and during their time on the show, Bisola opened up about how much Kehinde Bankole's words mean to her, citing a story of a time that Kehinde complimented her parenting after Bisola left her daughter Laila to stay with her on set. Here is the story Bisola said, and why she said it meant so much to her.

Bisola and Kehinde Bankole

During their time on the show, Bisola reveals how Kehinde Bankole's reassuring words about her parenting and career really touched her saying:

BISOLA AIYEOLA: Kehinde has the sweetest mouth but at the same time, she tells you the truth. In like 2013, Kehinde used to send me voice notes like you're such a good singer, have you ever thought about working with a band? You should. You can host this thing, you can do this thing. Bisola, you can't rest. And see ehn, Kehinde will hype you and you know there's always this little surge of reassurance that yes I can do it. If Kehinde that I used to watch on television can say that, then I can.

There was one time I brought Laila on set and I think Laila was how old? Maybe Laila was like 4 or 5 years old I think. And I needed to get somewhere so I just told I told Kehinde that "please Laila, she's going to be here, don't worry, don't worry, please Laila listen to Aunty Kehinde. Don't come down, don't shake, don't kinikan." I remember when I went and I came back, Kehinde hugged me and was like "Ah Bisola, I love how you trained your daughter." I said ehnn, how? She now said that Laila's donut abi her egg roll fell down and it was rolling on the floor. But because I had told her not to stand up from that chair, she was just looking at the egg roll.

KEHINDE BANKOLE: I couldn't even remember that

BISOLA AIYEOLA: See ehn, there are some moments, you wouldn't even remember, but I do. She didn't stand up and Kehinde was calling her to come, but she said her mummy said she shouldn't stand up. So Kehinde hugged me that day and I felt in that moment that ah, I'm not doing badly as a parent. I didn't do bad. If Kehinde can tell me that I'm doing good, that means I'm doing good.

Awww, this is such a sweet story! I personally didn't even know that Bisola and Kehinde were this close. What do you think about this story that Bisola shared about Kehinde Bankole? Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment either below or on my Jide Okonjo Facebook post.
