Stop Trying to Be Funny

Russell Brand is as many seem to think they are today... funny.

Trouble is, that they just really fail way far from the mark.

Who they truly are, are not 'comedians', no, they get there kicks from making up ridiculous fakery, at the expense of others... that is not funny...that is shameful.

This my friends, is due to the ease of use and power of our internet. Once a haven of actual real and useful digital information, with world-reaching abilities, it has fast become a den for abuse of others, spreading untruths, from politicians trying to impress their voters through hyperbole, to comedians such as Brand trying to make people laugh at the expense of innocent others.

Let me give you an example of this.

As the London Economic reported on March 20th at 15:52, and written by Charlie Herbert, "Russell Brand shares fake post claiming Penelope Keith shot JFK,"

This first X image depicts the reality that the internet truly is not what it used to be today. It is here today simply for people to share absolute twaddle, not for what thew internet was originally for.

No, I really don't find this funny at all.

Yet, quick to respond to the comment on X was Otto English (below) in which he rightly says that "Your occasional reminder that Penelope Keith is a national treasure, And that Russell Brand is a global embarrassment."

Oh, but no, this complete and utter lunacy simply does not stop at that either.

Typically screenshots from X showing what evidently was a set prop for a photo shoot but, oh no, Brand has to use such twaddle to extend his crazy stunt for a little longer.

All this from a comedian who has got himself into some rather hot water, being charged with rape, sexual assaults and emotional abuse by several women (information published by the MailOnline @17:14hrs,4 April 20252.)

All of this damning evidence, posted only earlier this month, shows an awful amount about Brand's social character in our community, doesn't it?

Talk about 'the pot calling the kettle black,' where does someone already in the media's spotlight, isn't Brand in enough trouble and strife.

I really do not see how any of Russell Brand's remarks & allegations against my aunt can have any depth of comedy in it whatsoever.

Can you?

I see that this utter rubbish is still doing the rounds across the internet even today, as you can clearly see in my above X post that I responded to, today.

X, as a social media platform appears to be turning into nothing more than a place for evil rumours, untruths, deception, and stupid inane comments and allegations, that too many people appear to think are funny & harmless.

But, they simply aren't.

Back in January 1, 1983, which has long been considered the birth of our internet, saw fruition due to Timothy John Berners Lee (a computer scientist) and his invention of, what we know today, as 'the world wide web.'

However, as Berners Lee chose no to patent his invention, with considerable hindsight since the world has been communicating across the world wide web, using the internet and seeing how it has become far more abused by the tons of users, I have become much more of the opinion that Tim Berners Lee, had he successfully achieved plans of placing into power an internet Bill of Rights, thereby enabling far more of a protective umbrella to be harnessed across the world wide web, then this authority would legally strive to protect and provide freedom of expression but with safeguard monitoring.

With the positive effects of removing the trash and untruths that is appearing across our internet today, on platforms such as these we have right now.

But for now, we cannot do much to stem the flow of tripe that we see on our computer screens, other than to report these crazed and vile comments, and hope that, just one day, someone in Government power stands up and says...enough is enough.
