Rema Gushes About Ayra Starr Following Cute Instagram Post

Divine Ikubor popular known as Rema is a Nigerian singer and rapper who rose to fame after signing to Mavin Records and recording hits such as Dumebi, Lady, Woman, Bounce, and more.

Ayra Starr is his label mate. A young woman who burst into the limelight in 2021 and since then has blessed us with amazing tracks like Away, Sare, Bloody Samaritan, and more.

Seeing that both Rema and Ayra Starr are young musicians who also happen to be label mates, it is not surprising that many people root for them to get together. Speculations about relationship among celebrities is rampant everywhere but after Rema took to his Instagram stories to post Ayra, it led to the opening of a floodgate of further speculation about the two. Already people have a number of thoughts about the two singers. Early this year a video called "Ayra Starr and Rema spark Dating Rumors" started going viral.

Now, the speculations have begun once again. Addressing the situation during a sit-down interview with star interviewer Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during his appearance on Channels Television, Rubbin' Minds, Rema opened up about the post he made about Ayra and gave his thoughts on the young woman who he gushed about. Here's what Rema said.

During the interview, Ebuka said to Rema, "I got a lot of DMs from your fans and they said I have to ask you this question, that it's very important and they say you must answer. Why did you post Ayra Starr on your Insta stories yesterday? It has thrown them into speculations so explain yourself."

Rema replied saying:

What speculations? What speculations rather than her being my label mate. We've been close friends. Well yeah, let me use this medium to even shed some more light about Ayra Starr. Ayra Starr is a really talented young lady. She is an amazing person. Personality, 100. Whenever anywhere is dull, she is the life of the party. She brings the energy to the studio. She brings the energy to the party. She's the one. Like, she's an awesome person. I just feel like the internet or fame or stardom just like paints a certain kind of picture. Even me, people who get to talk to me just realize that oh wait, this guy is just a regular, chill dude. But on the internet, everything seems so serious and too perfect. But anybody I post on my story, female or male, I'm just actually appreciating that person.

Rema further stated that he would not tell us even if the two of them were dating or if he were dating anybody because according to him, "I've seen a lot of relationships the internet has destroyed." So for now, he maintains that he and Ayra are simply friends. It is nice to see how he gushed over her and really praised her. His words to her were really kind. It's good to see the love and respect shared between them and really between all the new acts these days. What a wonderful thing to see.
