In a climate of fear and danger, perpetuated by traditional media and social media alike, there is often enough room for nonsense to occur.

Women in Louisiana stopped a trail ride to get out of their vehicles and engage in a melee. The video of the women captures fists being thrown like knives in a Kung-Fu movie. The act of starting physical force saturated the content of the video.

While it is unclear whether these women forgot they were being recorded, or just how the fight started, what is brought into sharp focus is that none of these women were concerned about the COVID-19 virus.

They were not wearing masks (probably because they’re outside), they were not practicing social distancing, and they were right in each other’s faces, tussling endlessly.

When there is a certain amount of ill will for your neighbor, you’re not worrying about the Omicron variant. You want to get as many connections with your fist against your opponent(s). There’s a fine line between mayhem and trying to defend yourself. The way “anything goes” remains in the soul of a fighter develops is what separates the one who gets beat up, and the one who emerges victorious.

If the Louisiana ideal is to foster an environment for young women to exit vehicles and launch into the brutality of fisticuffs, then that just served as a microcosm for America.

In a nation of overweight, spoiled, and “entitled” men, women, and children, this country seeks ways to entertain for the ‘Gram. This latest example of Americans who have time to go on trails and then dissolve in an out and out brawl shows we’re still free to do incredibly stupid, unnonproductive things.

The women in the video could be friends the next day. That’s how this works. The entirety of all the fight could be a mess and a complete disturbance, and then by the rising of the sun, the gals could morph into pals.

To take into consideration the reality of the different acts that go on in Louisiana and elsewhere in America, we ought to view the fights as just tune ups that don’t result in stabbing or gunshot wounds. It is not an endorsement of people fighting in the streets, but rather a warning to all future generations to know exactly what can be expected of them. It is okay to fend off an attack, not initiate it. It is okay to do battle with someone, but remember, if you happen to murder someone without self-defense, think about the years in the penitentiary.

Considering all of the points and details of the women who berate each other with their hands, it is possible their short excursion into violence symbolizes a culture which fantasizes about seeing a fight go down on the ground. Whether it’s in the elementary school yards or the UFC octagon, Americans want the rush of hand-to-hand combat.

With these women rumbling for respect, honor, and dignity, they represent the universal morality of all humanity…allegedly. They could’ve been fighting for a pig foot and bottle of beer to be consumed after the trail run. Whatever the case, the women show no regard for anyone involved in the fight. Hairf flew, fists remained clenched, and their whole demeanors changed to satisfy their thirst for disorder.

In what will remain a mainstay on the Internet, these women will forever be etched into the digital atmosphere (as long as the clip is available). Their bluster and rage speak to a need for a way for women to understand each other verbally. If not, we’ll consider tapping and clicking on the thumbnails of momentary insanity.
