Ikechukwu explains what happened

Nigerian rapper and actor Ikechukwu who is most popular for his songs Critical, Killz, Now Is The Time, and more, as well as starring in blockbuster movies such as The Wedding Party and The Wedding Party 2 has been out of the spotlight for the while, and now we know why.
Aparently, Ikechukwu has been dealing with major health issues which have left him paralyzed. In fact, he is still paralyzed right now. During the Instagram Live with media personality, Daddy Freeze, this is how the conversation between Freeze and Ikechukwu went. Here is what was said:
DADDY FREEZE: Killz baba, wetin do your leg?
IKECHUKWU: Baba, I get herniated disk acute sciatica. The thing paralyzed my whole right side. L4, L5. A whole me o! Can you imagine?
DADDY FREEZE: Painful, how are you even sitting down?
IKECHUKWU: I dey inside bed, you say siting down. Na bed wey I don dey since. See my crutches na.
DADDY FREEZE: Are you in Nigeria?
IKECHUKWU: Make I give you summary real quick. I pulled it on the 17th in the morning, and instead of calming down, I was booked for a show and I still went to go and do the show. The following day, I couldn’t get out of bed. Two more days of dealing with the pain, in the middle of the night, I had to rush to Evercare Hospital around like 3 a.m in the morning. Then Evercare, they now put drips in both of my hands with painkillers, which only lasted a little bit, and I no won risk my life with Naija healthcare again, so I just buy ticket, fly come straight to Yankee.
IKECHUKWU: Baba if you see me ehn! I no be the same the person wey you used to know before, the guy wey dey do backflips left and right. To waka dey pain me. I no fit waka.
Eyaaa. This is so sad. The good news about what Ikechukwu is going through though, is that according to the literature on a herniated disk acute sciatica, the symptoms tend to improve over time and surgery is usually not necessary to relieve the problem. Though the pain can be very severe, the literature says that most people with sciatica get better on their own with time and self-care treatments. So, Ikechukwu will most likely not be paralyzed forever more and that is at least very welcome news. Still, what he's going through sounds very painful and is very sad. We wish you fast recovery Ikechukwu. Get better soon!
