Peter Obi Finally Speaks About Elections Process Today
Peter Obi talks electoral process

It is finally the D Day of the 2023 General Elections here in Nigeria, and for all of us who went out to vote today, big thank you to us. Hopefully, the time for change and redemption for this country is finally here.
Although the voting in so many parts of the nation were peaceful and straightforward, there were also a number of places were things got violent, and ransacked by hoodlums. Overall though, this year's election saw a record number of people come out and the energy, enthusiasm, and interest in this year's elections are a lot more than they've ever been in the past. That is definitely worthy of celebration.
Labor Party candidate, Peter Obi, also came out today to vote and when Channels Television caught up with Peter Obi in Anambra to ask about his thoughts on the electoral process so far, here is what Peter Obi had to say.

Speaking in Anambra State about the electoral process so far, Peter Obi said:
PETER OBI: Well, the process so far as I've observed it is okay. You know, I thank INEC, and I wish the same thing all over Nigeria. Because I can't access it from my own position here, but judging from that, I give them my kudos. I say thank you. We want free, fair, and credible election. I came there like you saw, queued up like every other voter, waited a while, I was number 20 something when I started, within a short time I was able to vote.
I've not stepped down for any candidate and I will not. In this election, if there's anybody people will step down for, it's me. Because somebody just said okay, I'm facing two formidable opponents and I said, the only source of their being formidable is anyway part of those who brought us to this juncture, and this juncture is not a place where you claim reference for, because you failed. So the only person who is formidable in this election is me. Because I'm coming with new ideas, I'm coming with a proven track record of performance, I'm coming with what you can call a clean record, and offering a new beginning. The outcome can only be determined by God. Whatever God says, I accept it. It is God that makes it possible for everybody. It's God that will listen and look at the yearnings of Nigerians, especially the poor people who are suffering. Cuz Nigerians have suffered enough and I believe God will hear them cry.
If you went out to vote today, how was the turnout and process in your area? Even if you did not go out to vote and you have been at home just seeing how everything has played out, what have you been thinking about the day and the electoral process so far?
