Perfect timing
Everything happens for a reason.

It dawned hot, the summer was scorching this year, nevertheless it rained abundantly and it helped to drop down the temperature.
While waiting for the coffee maker to finish brewing my coffee, through the window of my apartment I could see, down there, the traffic getting more and more complicated as a result of the rain; it is unbelievable how a simple climate change can make people get so lost.
The strong smell of coffee being prepared spread throughout the environment and woke me up slowly. In the meanwhile, I thought it would be a good idea to go over my daily planning. Therefore, I sat down, grabbed my little black book from inside my suitcase and started reading my notes for this new day.
I checked every single item. I wanted to make sure I had not forgotten anything to do on this day, because in this rainy weather everything would be complicated and there would likely be delays.
This blessed little black book had already saved me several times when my memory failed. Every year I buy a new Moleskine online, I just cannot live without them anymore.
I sipped my strong and sugarless coffee slowly, enjoying every single bit of its taste.
I took my suitcase, my rain-coat, and off I went.
In the elevator, when the door was about to close, someone stopped it, and even before I could see who was holding the door, I already knew, because her sweet, soft but intoxicating perfume preceded and announced her.

It was my new neighbor, whose name I had not yet discovered, but I would definitely like to find out, in fact I would like to be introduced to her.
I confess that this given opportunity at that time in the morning didn’t help me much because I was barely able to mumble a "Good morning”. She was simply stunning, besides her perfume, her red hair was neatly combed, and although wearing a discrete outfit, suitable for going to work, she had perfect curves and her body was just like her, beautiful.
After I managed to greet her, and I of course get slightly blushed, I wondered if she had noticed how impacting her presence was and how much she moved me.
And the better part, or worse... I was no longer able to think clearly, besides being gorgeous, she was extremely kind. We were talking all the way down about random different things. As I said, I couldn’t concatenate my ideas in her presence.
We arrived at the lobby, said goodbye and each went opposite ways. While I was heading for the garage, I heard someone calling me desperately and when I turned around I saw my building’s concierge.
He said, out of breath, that a correspondence had arrived by messenger, which he found very strange, because normally everything comes by mail and that seemed to be very important. He gave me a ring and I did not answer, so he decided to catch me on the way out, and because of other residents he became distracted and had nearly missed me.
I accompanied him back to the lobby, signed the receipt book, that's when he handed me a brown envelope.
I turned it over to see the sender and read the name of a law firm.
I took my Moleskine notebook and began to searchfor my contacts, that's when I realized that it was the office that was taking care of my father's life insurance process.
I carefully opened the envelope, on the letter inside following words were written.
"Dear Mr. Claudio Robson Matias, through this we have informed you that our lawsuit has been successful and we have been able to receive the amounts related to your father's life insurance and for this reason we request your presence today in our office so that we can transfer you the amount of $ 20,000.00.
Att. Smith and Lawrence Attorneys. "
I had already been shaken by the presence of my neighbor, was not prepared for this other news so early in the morning, I was pale. and the concierge noticed it. He ran to help me and grabbing me by the arm, helped me to sit. He also brought me some water.
Recovered from my emotions, I took a deep breath, opened my Moleskine’s small black notebook, and reviewing all my appointments, I cancelled all of them. Then I looked up the office’s address and called a taxi, I was still in no condition for driving.
My surprise became joy, now I would have a good excuse to finally call my beautiful neighbor over for dinner and celebrate receiving $ 20,000.00.
