Moment Nedu Lashed Out During Press Conference (VIDEO)

"I'm done being nice."

Last week, OAP Nedu was the subject of national conversation after he announced that he would be stepping down as one of the hosts of the popular online podcast, The Honest Bunch. The decision came after Nedu had been dragged continuously by social critic VeryDarkMan.

For those who don't know, the ordeal happened after Nedu invited Big Brother reality star Deeone to the show where the BBN star went on claim that VDM was into men and had allegedly collected money from men for sex.

Reacting to the allegation, VeryDarkMan called out Nedu on his page, claiming the media personality invited Deeone to the show on purpose to criticize him. VDM then went on to say that he was going to spill several secrets that Nedu had allegedly told him in confidence, and threatened to expose him. It was after this that Nedu announced his stepping down from The Honest Bunch.

Now, Nedu is doing a press conference and during the press conference he's opening up about a couple of things as regards the whole ordeal.

Speaking on reports that he was fired from The Honest Bunch podcast, Nedu said:

NEDU: Let me straighten something out—I was not fired from The Honest Bunch, I was never fired. I decided to step away when the attacks became very personal so that the show can go on. I was not fired.

Every opinion shared on that platform is the opinion of the guest, not of the show itself. Everyone has the right to an opinion and the right to report

A lot of things have been going on left, right, and center, but I am going to say this—I am not one to indulge in petty exchanges of words. That’s not who I am. It has never been my style, and it will never be my style to jab words with people on social media.

Rather than engaging in petty fights, I have decided to clear the air by stepping away from the show.

My role on the podcast is to make guests feel comfortable while encouraging thought-provoking discussions. My job was to ask questions that would spark controversies and debates, which I successfully accomplished.

At a later point during the press conference, Nedu visibly feeling over the whole ordeal lashed out and said bitterly:

NEDU: To be honest, I’m done being nice. My niceness has been taken for granted, and I’ve been abused by people who claim to be my friends. I’m tired of being used and taken advantage of.

I respectfully ask that if you have my number, please delete it. I don’t want to be reachable or accessible anymore.

I need to take care of myself and prioritise my well-being. The nice part of Nedu is dead and buried.

I’m no longer going to be a nice guy; I’m done being nice.
