Speaking about the emotionality of her movie Ada Omo Daddy and speaking about her own experience as a single mother, Mercy Aigbe took to social media to share saying:

MERCY AIGBE: When I say the storyline of Ada Omo Daddy is people’s reality, it truly is. This particular scene was one of the toughest for me to shoot, and it still brings tears to my eyes. As a single mom for years, I’ve experienced firsthand the struggles and sacrifices that comes with raising a child on your own. The trauma, the pain, the sleepless nights... it’s a journey that’s all too familiar.

The scene where Perosola’s real father ( Chief Bankole) hands her over to her supposed father on her wedding day gets me every time😭 Men don’t let another man be the one to ascertain what happens to you in your child or children’ life!!! It’s a BIG SHAME!

This particular scene is a poignant reminder that family is not just about biology, but about people who show up and show love!!! Big Shout to selfless, loving fathers like Chief Bankole! May y’ll continue to reap the good deeds you sow ❤️❤️❤️

To all the fathers out there, I urge you: don’t let anyone come between you and your child. Be present, be supportive, and be the rock they need.

We all need to realize the trauma, pains that comes with the feeling of abandonment and unloved is Deep! No child should go tru it!!! People end up as damaged adults from these kind of experiences!!!

Some Single mothers end up as bitter people from these experiences!!!

Please let’s do better as Parents!!! Please!!!

May every single mother be blessed with the same love and support that Ireti received. And may every child who was raised by a single parent be blessed with the same happiness and fulfillment that Perosola found.

Ada Omo Daddy is a must-watch for every home. It’s a movie that will touch your heart, challenge your perspectives, and remind you of the power of love, family and forgiveness..
