May I kiss Your Caramel Skin Again?
Seeing You brings Wonders!
Stability common to an ole time tune with a simple melody. Every time I see you with your hair straight, I can't help myself and I loose control when you get next to me. Now I can think of every feature, and admire every hair on your body down to the bone. I'm so connected to you and even when you're just in the kitchen, I feel so alone. Thought about you mid sentence, trying to stay in step with the man playing the slow saxophone; got lost in the moment thinking about kissing your beautiful caramel skin tone.
Next verse came up, the band thought I nearly lost my mine. Had to apologize and they understood because they knew you are fine as Mae Wine! We took it from the top, and the piano stated to sway with a strange kind of sound! Had to sing a new verse about your smile, and told the crowd you were the most wonderful woman in town. Normally on the mic, they call me "smooth daddy" in the middle of a slow jam night. Somehow, I couldn't get my mind from you and how your skin glows when it hits the dimmed lights. All I needed to know, if I had to do it all over again; I'd like to kiss your caramel-coated skin.
Audience started to laugh as I started in an old Al Green tune! I was feeling you and the thoughts of seeing you made my heart hit the moon. Audience started to clap slowly to the lyrics as that same piano was making that sound sway, then I got into the story of how I met you and that was no ordinary day. The moment I saw your pretty skin, it was clear to me and not needing you was just a simple fallacy. Here, take my hand and let us begin over and over again, thoughts of kissing that caramel skin.
Well the third verse was coming, then I let the funky strings play. Crowd was deep into anticipation and wondering how I was going to describe our first day. I stepped back and took a sip of water with slightly melted ice. Looked to the left as I wipe the sweat of the corners of my forehead. Looked back to the right and I knew it was good. Saw you smiling in high heels and dress that looked beyond good. Backup singers started to harmonize. The look on my face was close to mesmerized. Took my hand as I reached for you, opened up my voice and started to sign something new. All I wanted to know if at the end, you make me happy and let kiss the caramel skin.
Forth verse came around and it was never rehearsed, but looking at you and making music at the same time was second nature; like being under a spell reciting endless love verse after verse. You smiled again and motioned your hair off your neck, the server crashed and the front tables were a complete wreck. Took a step toward you and you started to look at me, I gave lyrics and told you why you got next to me. Crowd started to swing from left to right as I danced with you and gave no signs to end the night. Placed the mic close to my lips, told everyone this was the woman that caused storms at seas and sunk lost ships. However, that same question came up again, I'd be a good boy if you let me kiss your caramel skin.
The band played as we danced center floor. Spoke into her ear and told her I didn't care for any other because past her, there was no more! Then at last, it was like the movie was about to end; the server said, "Sir, you have to pay for the caramel apple you took from the bin!" I have to stop dreaming and find a daytime job!
