“How are you tonight?” Ask the man.

“I’m good, how are you?”

“I’m good.”

There was an awkward pause that flowed through the two. They are at a loud club right now. There’s blaring rap music and nauseating led lights that are violating the whole room. The girl walks away and the man is frustrated. He thought she liked him. He only had one conversation with her in his entire life, it was a week ago when she was vomiting off a couple four Lokos and he stood by to comfort her. She didn’t want company, she wanted to be left alone. To him, she needed a hero, someone to watch over her while she suffered. She didn’t want to talk to him, she didn’t want to talk to him when she was dying, and she doesn't want to talk to him now that she is living. He wasn’t going to give up, he wasn’t going to give up then, he wasn’t going to give up now. She wanders off, she doesn't have a lot of thought going on in her mind, she never had. The man goes to buy her a drink.

“Hey I bought you something” says the man.

“Oh thank you, I’m still trying to finish this one.”

“That’s ok, I’ll hold on to it for you.”

“Oh thank you.”

Just then Justin walks in and sits right next to her. He talks in a dense lisp and has long greasy hair. The three fought to try to talk to her but there was clear dissolution between the group. Two of the men wanted her, and she just wanted to be looked at. We don’t know why she wants to be seen so badly, we assume that if she stayed silent she would in just disappear. Justin moves in closer to her. The man is mad, the man wants to tell the loser to beat it. She just smiles. She says a few words, and Justin never broke eye contact with her.

“I know you want to make out with me.” Says Justin

“Oh, um, I’m your friend.”

“Just come here.”

Justin leans in to try to kiss her, and she backs away. Jeremiah leans in and says

“Do you want to leave? Get some fresh air maybe?”

She nods her head and the man and the girl leave. Justin is left there feeling dumbfounded. She doesn't understand why all the guys around her just want her for sex. She doesn't realize that when she posts a picture of herself in a thong on social media, it gives her male friends a set of ideas about her. She loves the attention, but she hates it when the attention asks for something back.

“You ok?” ask the man

“Yeah, that was really uncomfortable.”

“Yeah, I feel like you were really creeped out by him. I figure you wanted some space but it would have sounded bad if you said you wanted to leave.”

“Yeah.”

She crosses her arms, she looks lost. She doesn't know who she is. She just knows she likes drinking. The man and the woman walked across the dance floor. She finally finishes her drink.”

“Here, I still have the drink I saved for you earlier.”

The man handed her the drink. She doesn't react to it. She thinks she’s in danger but she doesn't know where it’s coming from. She just takes the drink and gives off a fading smile. The mans excited, she’s finally alone with him now. At the same time he’s freaking out because he doesn't know what to do. He has never been with a woman before. Every time he gets close to he gets pushed back as far as possible. He didn’t think the girl he was with was really a girl, but more of an objective.

“Thank you for the drink.”

“You don’t have to thank me, I wanted to treat you.”

“That's nice.”

“So what are you doing after this?”

“I don’t know, maybe I’ll go home and sleep, I’m not in a good state of mind right now.”

“Oh, maybe if you drink some more you’ll feel better.”

“Maybe.”

The man knew he was failing. It was a familiar situation to him. A song came on and the girl got excited. It was one of her favorite songs at the moment and it rejuvenated her. She just wanted to listen to the music and dance. She wants to forget about everything. She wants to forget about Justin, forget about her ex boyfriend, and forget about her dead father. She just wanted music. The man see’s the girl dancing, and he gets excited. She doesn't really notice the man. She closes her eyes and moves her hips. She runs her hands down through her body and swerves side to side. The man’s losing it. It’s like he’s put into a trance. He blames her for it. He thinks she’s doing it on purpose to seduce him. In his head, he has to act. In her head, she feels nothing, there isn’t a thought in her mind, she’s at peace. The man moves towards her, he’s getting closer. Her back is facing him so she doesn't see him creeping in. He puts her hand on her hips. She opens her eyes. She doesn't say anything. The man starts running her hands up and down her body. She doesn't want to turn him down, she’s afraid to upset him. She’s been so miserable for the past few years, the least she can do is entertain him until he’s done.

The man gets more aggressive. He’s rubbing himself on her and she starts moving back into him. It’s better than slowly trying to escape him. The man doesn't get a lot of interactions with women. The last time he kissed a girl was two and a half years ago. He’s taking advantage of every second with her. She moves the way he moves. He swings forward and she does the same. He pulls his hands down to her hips and pulls her back to him. In her head, she plans to stop after the song ends, she plans to tell him she needs to sit down because she had too much to drink. The man forces her hand. He goes in for a kiss. She quickly turns away from him.

“Lets not, I like you as a friend.” she says.

“But you were just dancing with me.”

“I know, and I had fun, but I just want to stay friends.”

“Common, let’s just have some fun.”

The man is still holding her. His grip gets a little tighter. She doesn't resist, but she doesn't want to stay there.

“No, I’m going to sit down.”

She prays his hands off her and she sits back down. The man is frustrated. He felt like she owed him something. The drink was twelve dollars. He saved her from Justin. He wonders where his reward was. That night he just kept pounding drinks. He was disappointed. He thought he had it. The drinks filtered out his feelings and took in his rage. He moved around the dance floor, but he saw no point of being there now. He just has to wait till his friends are done and he would leave with all of them. The girl came with them though, so when they leave she has to leave with them. He decided he wouldn’t be so kind to her. Just as his night is about to wrap up, he sees the girl dancing with another man. The man was Alexi, a mutual friend of the group. It occurred to the man that this girl came to a dance club with several men that all wanted to fuck her. She didn’t see an issue with that. He thought she was a whore. Alexi grabbed her ass and worked his way up to her breast. The man didn’t get a chance to feel her chest, Alexi out did him. The man was furious. How dare she let other people use her. The man walks up to her. He pulls her from him. She looks confused.

“Is there something wrong?” Ask the girl.

The man strikes her with the back of his hand. She fell down. She looks terrified. He stands over her.

“You're just a filthy whore, that’s all you’ll ever be.”

The man walks out of the club and calls a cab home.
