Lying on the damp, green grass, staring at the pattern of the stars, a map of wild wonder and the temptress of the heart.

Calling us to find adventure and chase the beauty of the night, creating paths and journeys that document, our walk of life.

Varied lines and ridges, tales that trace and track our steps, proof of how we valued every promise that we kept. Neurons stimulated, stirring electrical impulses, redirects and move us on, in a manner that seems so simple

Another witness to the wild, a frozen moment in a trance, nature’s traveler, caught in time, bending to the weight upon her limbs

Learning how to brave the dark, seemingly fragile, bore in silence , giving hope back to the spark, holding life within her secrets

Traversing without effort, into the halls of memory. Where we can revisit any moment, like vacationing for free. Wandering down those hallowed halls, that time has preserved so tenderly, inviting us to stay awhile, as if demanding it to freeze.

Discovering those timeless treasures, those moments slipped by, like rain on ice. The ones we tried our best to treasure, the ones paid for with sacrifice.

Battles of the mind, as it challenges the heart, trying to go back again, to have another start. If onlys and what might have beens, carried any weight at all, then, maybe could carry us away and let us redefine those walls

The ones that our hearts scrawled upon, to salvage and mark a moment. So we could come back again and for a brief time to relive it.

Color coded mazes, leading us into those old dimensions, where black and white images remain, holding time still, in suspension.

Every last experience that meant anything at all, is notched and held in limbo, until we revisit those halls. Preserved and kept pristine to hold, whenever desire calls

Each held in a location, like an X that marks the spot. Making return as simple as, a scent or sight and sound. Sparking a specific memory, that flips a switch, like rail cars, a breath or sigh releasing and before you know it, there you are.

Steeped up in a moment that made an impression on your heart, tattooed in your brain, until that recall lights a spark, and then, you're off just like a rocket, to the journey in your head, all delicately held together by an invisible string of thread.

And for each of us they're different. Some spark happy some spark sad. But they all remind us sharply, they are important moments that we had.

That imprinted on our brains and set a trigger to recapture, those moments of recall to help us hold ourselves together.

And though we may file them individually, and they are meant solely for you. We all feel them equally, and they are things we all go through. So, give grace as you are travelling through the past or just creating. Because those moments of our past cannot replace the new ones you are making.

Some fun map facts:

1. NOT ALL PLACES REALLY EXIST...limited knowledge made mistakes a breeze, "paper towns" were used to make finding copies with ease

2. NOTHING IS WHERE YOU THINK IT IS...the map that hung in our classrooms for years, was plagued with varied inaccuracies. The closer to the equator, the truer the size, but other locations played a trick on our eyes

3. NORTH ISN'T ALWAYS UP...where did the word orientation come from? North used to be out done by the east. So to accurately read a map of the past, point the east towards the garden of Eden

4. AND ACTUALLY THERE ARE 2 NORTHS!...magnetic or true are the two kinds of north, but be careful you can't rely finding true north from both

5. MAPS AREN'T JUST FOR NAVIGATION...maps used to be a sign of wealth not used to get where you were going. Goes to show you don't always know what you think, instead it is WHO you are knowing

What a creative way to describe journaling and how to use our travels to understand whatever. Good job.
