I have the worst time sleeping.

Early in the night I have a nightmare that I am trapped in the hotel with The Goat Man staring at me as I try to sleep. The Goat Man mostly just watches me, but rapes me and many other things as well. I keep tossing and turning and screaming in my dreams. The Goat Man stays with me all night. I don't really sleep at all. At one point the Goat Man and I have a guitar battle with metal music.

I get up and take a shower.

I put in Big Bourbon Beard Balm and Bourbon Cologne Balm. We walk to Petunia's Pies and Pastries, a vegan bakery.

I get a vegan sausage, tofu egg, and vegan cheese sandwich. Shelby gets a scone sandwich with tempeh bacon and tofu egg. I also get a Cheese and Herb scone and a Blueberry Lime Scone. Shelby gets a cold brew and I get a black coffee.

We walk to the hotel to eat. They have a coffee shop there called Good.

We feast.

I get a Smoked Cardamom Assam Latte with oat milk. Shelby gets a Citrus Blossom Matcha soda.

We walk to the Chinese Gardens. It's so beautiful. We walk around and try to find all the hidden kites on the property. We stop at their tearoom, The Tao of Tea, and I get a Black Dragon Oolong and Unfiltered Pearl Sake and their Tofu Rice Noodles. Shelby gets a Topaz Puer tea.

Later I buy a container of Royal Phoenix Oolong.

We come back to the hotel. The elevator is now broken.

I journal on my phone, taking notes of our day. I take Tylenol and lie in bed, because my back is intensely hurting.

We Lyft to Washington Park and go to the Japanese Gardens. Freaking amazing. We spend a lot of time just taking in nature.

Then we head over to the Rose Garden, but no roses. Everything is dead.

We Lyft from there to Powell's Books again. I buy three volumes of Manga, some funny socks, and a mug for a souvenir. We stop by a few stores Shelby wanted to visit like Doc Martens and a record label's store, Tender Loving Empire.

We chill at the hotel for a little bit. I take another Tylenol.

We Lyft to The Zipper and eat at Boxcar Pizza home of vegan Detroit Style Pizza. Shelby gets the Bianca Pizza. I get the Steaky Breaky Heart with added Jalapenos and Sriracha, Lime, Cilantro Wings with vegan ranch.

We Lyft back to the hotel.

We walk to Ground Kontrol Classic Arcade and Bar. We play lots of games like Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and lots of Arcade and Pinball games. We decide not to drink, because we plan to go to another bar.

We finally leave and go to the bar, but they're closed. We go to another bar at the Moxy hotel but it's members only right now. Our hotel bar is closed for a private event. So no drinking tonight. I try to get some wine to the hotel room, but they don't offer that.

We go back upstairs.

I take a shower and put on our nice robe.

We watch South Park. It's the sequel episode to Man Bear Pig where Man Bear Pig is real and they seek out Al Gore to stop it. I never realized Man Bear Pig was a metaphor for Climate Change. Nice. I only really watched South Park in season 1. Haven't really seen a lot since then.

We go to bed.

And that's it.
