I'm on Team Will Smith
After the slapgate, I support Will Smith 100% and here's the reason why.

Trigger Warning: This article may contain foul languages.
March 27 (Oscar Night) was supposed to be the night that , a night to celebrate the nominees and soon to be Oscar winners (congratulations to them), until it became when Soon to Be Oscar Winner Will Smith smacked the living sh*t out of Chris Rock shocking the whole world and everyone at the Oscars.

So What Happened at the Oscars???????
Comedian Chris Rock was on stage about to present for Best Documentary Feature made a G.I. Jane joke on Jada Pinkett Smith by saying, "Can't wait to see G.I. Jane 2" since she is bald and dealing with alopecia.
In case you are wondering what G.I Jane was. G.I. Jane was a 1997 film directed by Ridley Scott that starred Demi Moore with a shaved head. The movie received mixed reviews even though Moore was praised for her performance and she won a Razzie Award.

Medical Dictionary:
Alopecia Areta: Sudden hair loss that starts with one or more circular bald patches that may overlap.
Smith walks on the stage open hand slapped him walking while Chris Rock shooked and surprised:
"Wow...Will Smith slapped the living shit out of me."
Smith sits down and says out loud at Chris Rock:
"Keep my wife's name out your f**king mouth"
Then, Will Smith finally won an Oscar for Best Actor for his role in King Richard.
Smith was drawn in to tears and apologetic to Chris Rock and to the fellow nominees. After the whole slapping incident at the Oscars, there were celebs were expressing their disappointment in Smith, shocked by it, some were defending him and others were joking about it.
Honestly, here's what I think about this whole slapgate...
I support Will Smith 100%, I love Will, he's not a violent person or an abusive person. An abusive person is someone who would have a history of hurting people physically. Will is just a human who made a big major mistake causing to lose respect from his Hollywood peers. Chris did kind of deserved the slap but I don't think Will should have done that. I understand he wants to protect his wife but he could've done it in a different way. He could've at least clapped back or just made a petty joke at him or his girlfriend since he want to come for his wife. Or just confront him after the Oscars to tell him the joke was cruel. Although I find it absolutely shocking that he slapped Chris but he didn't slap August who was apart this "entanglement" with his wife Jada or cursed at him like the way he did to Chris.
Does he deserve to cancel??? Absolutely not.
I don't think it will happen and I hope not.
And I don't care if people want to say "oh why you're defending the guy who just beat up somebody" or "he slapped someone that's abuse ".
It was a simple mistake! He didn't even punched him.
Plus would it matter if it was a white male nominee. Hmmmm.....
Like What if it was white nominee like Leonardo Dicaprio, or Brad Pitt (even though he is divorced) or Ben Affleck slapped the crap out of Chris Rock. White people would salute him and call out Chris Rock using such insanity cruel joke on their wife or girlfriend. If it was a female comedian and Will Smith slaps her people would call him a "monster" or a "woman beater" plus he would have been in handcuffs real quick but I know for a fact he doesn't abuse women and his mother raised him better than that.
Does he deserve to have his Oscar to be stripped from him? No.
Because it wouldn't be fair plus Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, Woody Allen and Roman Polankski. They're all Academy Award winning actors, directors, and producers who still have their Oscar after they were screwed up for committing a gruesome scandals.

Will deserve to suspended from the Oscars for a year come back for 2024. Plus, I believe he deserves therapy because I believe this whole "entanglement" situation is causing him his marriage and his career.
Bottom line: I'll admit The two are both wrong for what they did at the Oscars. I surely do hope Chris Rock would accept his apology. Both can talk this whole situation like men and work it out regardless whether they will be friends or not. Maybe they will talk this out on Red Table Talk or in private so they can move on and heal.
