I also, have a dream

My name is Martin King. I was named after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and I will admit, for a long time I kept thinking, would I ever live up to such a great man. He was human, and he wasn't perfect, as none of us are, however he showed courage and love and the will to keep going and make change. Change is something that needed to happen and the start of a drastic change did, and it continued and still affects today and will always and hopefully, people learn the message, that we are indeed human, created to be here and love one another and support each other and not cause hate and discrimination because the color of one's skin, but instead rejoice for our unique differences and grow with one another. A world, unified and working towards a better future...that's the world that should exist.

Years ago I planned to do what I could, and started volunteering a lot. I joined different events to help out and joined non profit organizations and I kept going, moving forward no matter what. I've had plenty of obstacles, and heartache. I've had times when I've been betrayed and when I let my emotions get the best of me, and through everything, I have learned and learned and learned so much about what I am capable of and what I can do. I'm not better than anyone else. I am not smarter nor stronger, but I do believe that I have a calling. I believe in God, and I am not a religious person, after all God is not man made, but religion is. My relationship with my creator has taught me to be humble, to understand wisdom and to apply and help others. That's what I plan to do. Help others, all over.

I have a dream, to unite people of this world. To bring people together so that the walls of discrimination and hate fall. So that people can come to an understanding that we are all just on this earth, living , breathing, and figuring out our life amongst everyone else. That if we simply love one another unconditionally, things will be better. If one person loves another, they care for them, they look out for them. Now, I understand loving from a distance(insert a chuckle) because sometimes some people make it hard to love them up close. Nobody wants to get backstabbed, or have the chair pulled out from under them. It hurts when you trust someone and they betray you. It hurts getting lied to, cheated on, and taken advantaged of. When we love those people that do that, we are not the problem. The problem is, when that happens, who tries to understand why so it doesn't keep happening. Some people lie for drugs, for money, for items, or just to get away with it, but is something missing from them? One surely cannot be whole and choose to lie cheat and steal. If a millionaire or billionaire is stealing from poor folk, that doesn't mean that they are whole. That means that they are rich and greedy and something is missing within them to make them feel like they need to take more instead of give.

My dream, among many ideas and goals that I have, is to create a performance theater that WILL unite the world. I was given this dream years ago, and my journey in life has taken me on many paths and it's all for this dream to unite people from various backgrounds and cultures. This year I plan to be a part of the Cleveland Asian Festival again and be the mascot and then in August be a part of One World Day, which was such an amazing event and I wish more people would attend. It's an event where the Cultural Gardens, on the East side of Cleveland, Ohio, come celebrate their culture and have food, and information and entertainment. It's an event that I am proud to be a part of and I will be able to apply the things I have learned to my future goals.

I am building an inventory of people I know and have come across that have small businesses, well, just their own business. I want to help others succeed and by creating this inventory, I can help people with skills of all kinds to gain business. I can help the people needing work done and help a person gain business. I plan to start multiple businesses and create things to better society. I care about the people, and I believe that people can be better. I know that it's possible for the world to exist better. There is a bigger picture, because it's not just about humans living on this planet. There is so much life on this planet. We cannot afford to continue to let our hate and bickering destroy this world. This isn't a movie, this is real life. We are living it, and sadly, there is corruption. There are people with money, authority and power that make decisions and choose for their benefit. This cannot continue, it cannot be our way of life, to sit idly by while people are destroying lives and making theirs better. I will not sit anymore, and not do anything. Everyone has their path, and I know mine.

When I first had my dream of a better world, I was about 8 or 9 years old. I dreamt of golden streets and people happy and in some sort of cloth and it was complete joy. Huge mansions took the place of houses and another part of the dream, there was an enormous throne with light shining from on top of it and I heard "Welcome Home my Son". I had these dreams before I understood what they really meant and before I even heard about what heaven was in the Bible, and I took that as a sign from God, showing me something. Showing me what could be, not just heaven, not some mystical place, but showing me what could be, here. I learned that God isn't magic. There is law and order to how God works. Yes, miracles happen, and things unexplained but we cannot understand how God can make things happen, we simply exist to see it.

As I got older, I enjoyed listening to people and helping them with problems, or just being someone they could vent to. So much pain and trauma exist in so many people. So many hearts and minds are hurting because pain begot pain. It's like the Cycle of Hate that was from a show that is very near and dear to me. A show of a certain ninja that is able to talk to his enemies and understand them and even make them turn from their ways. It reminds me of something Dr. King said, "Love is the only force capable of turning an enemy into a friend". Love, not Lust, and that has to be something taught to people. There is a vast difference between someone just saying they love you and really it's just for your body or money or for their benefit, or someone saying they love you and meaning it, loving your very soul and wanting the best for you and willing to help you succeed. So many are bought with money. Finances are important and we have to pay our bills or else, we may lose our home, our lights, phones, gas, subscriptions, etc. This is another thing that I will change in the future. This concept of money being the most important thing when all it should be is a tool, or we could just go back to trading haha. My point is, money does not have to be the root of all evil, because by itself, it's just an item. It's how people use it, and how society creates it to be. There is more than enough to make sure people are not going hungry, not able to pay their bills, in reality, there's enough money for everyone to live freely. They don't want people to know that though, and "they" being the powers that be, the people with control of billions and trillions of dollars all around the world.

Over the years my heart has hurt so much knowing that people not only give themselves away for money and for a living, just to live, but die, just trying to live. Just understanding that concept, infuriates my soul. So many humans have perished over the years that didn't have to, but did because others wanted them to. Not because the other person was hurting them, or their family or friends. Not because they were doing anything that directly or indirectly affected their life, but just because they existed. There is STILL hate in this world. Still, there is death and destruction of lives simply for the fact that people exist that others don't like. This is not okay. This isn't okay at all.

I believe in a world where people are not dying, where science and art are advanced because of the understanding of unity. A world where people of all cultures are supporting one another and being there for each other no matter the differences. A world where people love one another and don't even want to cause negative effects on others because they understand what that can, and will do to them, and others. It's really simple, treat others as you'd want to be treated. The Golden Rule, yet people lose sight of it somehow. That's why we're taught this growing up, because it's such an important thing. If anything, it should be, treat others better than you'd want to be treated. Just imagine that, because it can happen, and it will. I don't plan to be in politics, though people have said that I should go to become President. No, I seek something greater. I am a King, among other Kings and Queens, as we all our. Even those considered peasants, are still royalty. It's a lie for people to think they are less. We can all rise and strive to a greater future where we live life with meaning, with purpose. A life where we are proud to live everyday knowing that because we followed through with the idea and belief in a better world, that it is.

This dream does not just end with people being unified. There's always work to be done, and my dream isn't really to change the world, though that's a part of the foundation of it. My dream is to "Shape the future of the universe". Not only to make things better for our planet, but protect it and our species and the life on the planet and to be able to eventually move to other planets if needed, and to exist as a species we never thought we could be. A species that is not naturally hateful, but instead, loving, nurturing, and growing. Our way of life should not be war, but should be growth. There is so much more to this world than just what we see and experience. Creating a future worth being proud of for our future sons and daughters should be a priority, instead of petty moments that don't last a lifetime. I have many plans to create a better world, and I cannot do it on my own, as I am just one person, but there are so many good hearted people who want a better future. There are people who wish things could be better, and there are people willing to do what it takes to make that future happen. The idea starts with individuals, and then families and groups of people and communities and neighborhoods and then districts and cities and counties and states and countries, and the world. There is no reason, anyone should not want a better world, and if they don't something is wrong, and that is where we can impact change. To show that person love, to understand why they really feel that way, and how it can be resolved so that they feel whole.

What will I do this year, to help people and the community and to spread a positive change? To spread to message of love, and hope and unity that Dr. King was spreading, and still is. I will continue to speak about my dream, I will be the best example and Leader I can be and hold myself accountable. I will reach out to others, and I will volunteer, and be a part of different organizations, and see what I can do to help others. I will show my 4 year old daughter what the world can be like. My Princess is very intelligent, and she has such a caring and beautiful Soul. I continue on with this dream for her, because how could I live with myself as she gets older, knowing all of the corruption and war going on and not do anything about it. World Leaders are people too, the people with power and authority are people, and being satisfied with changing just what's around me, for me, personally, is not enough. Everyone has their own path, and I know mine.

Honestly, I didn't sign up to win, though it would be such a tremendous blessing that would be needed and I could make sure that gets put to good use. I signed up because I love to write, and my name is Martin King and I have a dream to make the world a better place, and to change the image of humanity being destructive creatures and to turn that into something better. I know there is evil in the world, but that evil, just hasn't experienced the power of God yet. Truly, from a human, providing not just unconditional love, but showing the power, the strength, of what that power can do. We are powerful beings, capable of great things, and that's something that we can sing. On top of a mountain, in the bottom of a valley, people should know that things can be better by us uniting. I will do my part to provide a great example.

My dream for the performance theater will happen, and it will be something like nothing else before. I will need your help, and everyone's help for this. There doesn't have to be senseless death, and we can stop the corruption from ongoing. We have what it takes to be a better world for the years to come. It's not something overnight, but it's not something that shouldn't take years and years. When a child does something bad, you let them know that it was bad, or they learn themselves but regardless, you teach them. There is no need for wars, for gangs and all of these things that are created to destroy each other. We are meant to rise, and so we shall. My name is Martin King, and we all have a dream.
