Humans In 1000 Years!
The Future of Humanity: Transhumanism, Evolution, and Space Colonization

The ability to tolerate lactose, which allows us to drink milk throughout our lives, evolved roughly 10,000 years ago. In the past 150 years, humans have grown on average 10 centimeters taller; in the last 65 years, the average life expectancy has increased by nearly 20 years, largely due to scientific advancements.
Scientific advances have advanced our species; in fact, National Geographic and GE's new series "Breakthrough" explores some of the cutting edge inventions that are occurring now, from the fusion of biology and technology to answers for the water issue. What will mankind look like in a millennium, though?
It's already difficult to recall a time before cellphones, but experts believe computers will surpass the human brain in computing speed in the coming decades.
They will be able to listen, remember, and communicate in addition to speaking. This also leads to the transhumanist ideology. Nanobots, or microscopic robots, will be discreetly incorporated into human bodies in the future to augment our own capabilities! We will no longer be constrained by our own physiology and instead develop into an internal hybrid of biology and machinery.
Do you know what "Utility Fog" is? Imagine a cloud made up of an infinite number of tiny robots that can be quickly rearranged into almost any arrangement. Structures might be put together as needed and taken down to make room for other things.
Imagine your home being dismantled in the morning as you leave to make room for something else!
As the world becomes more urbanized and interconnected, the 7,000 languages that are spoken now will probably decrease to less than 100.
The earth's warming and the ensuing depletion of the ozone layer will be significant factors as we go farther into the future. Darker skin might become an evolutionary advantage as a result of more UV radiation reaching the globe since it shields against UV damage.
Our size may also be impacted by rising temperatures; taller, leaner people would be better at releasing more body heat since they have a higher body surface area to volume ratio.
Naturally, it will take tens or perhaps hundreds of thousands of years for these kinds of changes to occur, and it will also depend on our capacity to shield ourselves from the elements.
Additionally, mutations may give rise to new features, such as unusual powers or a different color of eyes! Due to a genetic abnormality, one guy has even been reported to be able to eat and digest almost anything, including glass, metal, and even hazardous substances. Some people have a disorder known as tetrachromacy, which causes them to perceive 100 times more colors than the average person. But don't anticipate a mutant like school-for-the-gifted anytime soon—these features are only likely to survive if they offer some sort of selection benefit.
But much of our evolution will probably be driven by artificial selection or modifications brought forth by us.
Before they are even born, we will alter their DNA to remove any illnesses they might have or to add qualities we want for them. However, although if genetic similarity makes us stronger, smarter, and more attractive, it also means that human variety is reduced, which increases the possibility that one day a single new illness may wipe out the whole human species.
As Stephen Hawking put it "Disasters like an asteroid strike or a nuclear war might destroy humanity sooner rather than later. But our future should be secure after we expand into space and build autonomous colonies. It appears that space colonization will inevitably occur in the future.
In the end, by scanning our minds atom by atom and putting that knowledge into computers, we could even be able to defeat death.
We may become information patterns and move at the speed of light without being constrained by our physical bodies or the need for nourishment. In contrast to the twenty years it takes for humans to reproduce themselves, a digital person might do it in a matter of minutes or seconds.
