How To Be A Great Writer
It's not as hard as you think; just focus on these 3 things

I suppose we each have a definition of what "great" actually means.
Is a great writer one that makes a lotta dough? Or is being great meaning your social following earned you the little blue emblem? Or hey, maybe great means that you've released your first book and are on to the second?
Who knows.
The wonderful thing is that you get to define what a great writer is.
So lemme contrast and compare greatness to other creator types and share what I believe it means to be a great writer.
Great magicians make the impossible possible.
Great explorers take crazy risks and venture into the unknown to fulfill a mission.
Great teachers create an impact that may change a student's life forever.
But the greatest of writers are truly extraordinary
We see what others cannot see – and we also see what others can see, but with fresh eyes.
A great writer compels people to think what nobody else has thought. We're bold enough to tell the world what nobody else would dare to say. We take risks in service of others and the written word. We help humanity see and do what seems impossible – regularly.
And we don't just share what we know and our knowledge. We draw out the knowledge and experiences of the reader.
So how does one become "great" at writing?
1. Be brave and share your unique perspective with the world
When it comes to being a great writer, courage is essential.
It takes bravery to share your unique perspective with the world, especially when you know that not everyone will agree with you. But that's okay – you're not writing for them. You're writing for the ones who will appreciate your voice, your perspective, and your unique take on the world.
So don't be afraid to put yourself out there.
Write about what you believe in, even if it's controversial. Share your stories, insights, and perspectives with the world, and see what happens. You may be surprised at how many people are waiting to hear what you have to say.
2. Help others see what they cannot see
One of the most important things we can do as writers is help others see what they cannot see.
We do this by sharing our stories, insights, and perspectives and encouraging others to share theirs.
We can also help others see what they cannot see by giving them a space to express themselves. We all have something valuable to share, and it's our job as writers to help others find their voice and share it with the world.
So if you're looking for ways to help others see what they cannot see, start by sharing your own stories, insights, and perspectives. Encourage others to share theirs, too, and create a space where everyone can feel safe expressing themselves. You may be surprised at the impact you can have.
3. Draw out the knowledge and experiences of your readers
One of the most important things a writer can do is to draw out the knowledge and experiences of their readers.
The most powerful writers do it not only by sharing their stories but actually allowing the reader to see themselves as part of it. To imagine themselves as the main character. To truly feel what it's like to BE the story.
And that's what great writers do. They help their readers see themselves in the story, and they help them understand what it's like to experience the world from a different perspective.
If you want to be a great writer, start by drawing out the knowledge and experiences of your readers. Help them see themselves in the story, and help them understand what it's like to experience the world from a different perspective. It's an incredibly powerful way to connect with your audience – and to make a lasting impact.
Of course, there are many other important qualities – but these three are essential for anyone who wants to be a great writer.
The final word
Set an intention to be a great writer, and it will change everything.
If you think you're already a great writer, you've missed the most crucial lesson…
You see, the best of the best ink slingers never stop learning. Great writers can become extraordinary. And what makes an extraordinary writer is a willingness to become a beginner – again and again, and again.
