How I Feel about Housemates From My Season Not Getting As Much Love as Others - Kellyrae

Kellyrae speaks his mind

By Jide OkonjoPublished about a year ago 3 min read

This year's season of Big Brother Naija concluded and left it's mark on the dedicated fans of the show as well as on the nation. But, there was also a very noticeable difference in the reaction and fanfare towards the evicted housemates from this season when compared to housemates from earlier seasons. Unlike other seasons where a number of housemates saw their social media numbers skyrocket into millions, and amassed almost cult-like fans, this season's housemates have not enjoyed the same love to the same degree. Something that winner of the season, Kellyrae, is talking about during a new interview with Channels Television. Here's what he had to say.

During his interview, Kellyrae was asked "Do you feel your season of housemates has received the same level of love, attention from the fans, and gifts, as previous housemates?" to which Kellyrae replied saying:

KELLYRAE: I've heard a lot of people say ours is not, or hasn't been, like that of the previous housemates. But I'll say this and if any of my fellow housemates, if any of them are watching me right now they should know this: that things don't have to happen the way they've happened before.

It depends on how you see things. Okay they said as soon as we went into the house, there was a riot—there was a protest rather. Me, I see it as a blessing. Nothing is a con to me. Everything works out at the end of the day, everything works out in your favor. That's what matters.

So, if a previous housemate came out and on the first week he signed 19 deals and your turn, you came out after a month you've not signed up to three deals, be positive man. At the end of the day, you've won already, so be positive. It doesn't have to happen the way it has happened before. Things might be greater, things actually take new turns. Greater things actually take new turns.

I'm happy for where I am. I'm happy for even the other housemates, for everybody. Even if we like, as I said, even if things are not working the way you guys think things should work, trust me things are working for our good. So I'm happy.
