It's February 14th today, which means only one thing: it is VALENTINE'S DAY. A day for lovers. And this year, the lovers are really loving on each other. Valentine's Day is the day for couples to make sweet posts about each other, and treat themselves to beautiful, special treats, etc. It is not only for couples though, as friends, family, and loved ones also show special love to themselves on this day.

In case you haven't been keeping up with the lovers today, I thought it would be fun to compile the happenings of the day and bring it to you so you too can witness all the "love is in the air" festivities that happened today. Today, we will be counting down how 7 Nigerian celebrities celebrated love this year. Are you ready to see who they are? Then let's go!

1. Mercy Aigbe

Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Kazim Adeoti spent today celebrating love in the Maldives. Mercy Aigbe took to social media to post pictures and videos of her and Kazim in the water with a love shaped platter of food set in front of them. She wrote about the day saying:

Elections are right around the corner and this year, Mercy Johnson-Okojie's husband, Prince Odi Okojie is campaigning to be voted for the Federal House of Representatives. So for Valentine's Day today, Mercy Johnson joined her husband on the campaign trail going to meet community leaders. She said on social media:

3. Ebuka

Valentine's Day is not only a day for lovers to celebrate each other. It is also a day when family members show love to each other. For Valentine's Day today, media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu showed off how his daughter made him an adorable valentine's day card after he scolded her yesterday. He shared the image of the card along with a caption that said:

4. Simi

For Valentine's Day today, singer Simi was spoiled with flowers, cake, and jewelry from husband, fellow singer Adekunle Gold. The singer took to social media to show off the gifts that she received from her husband saying "Moruf for the win".

5. DJ Cuppy

For Valentine's Day today, DJ Cuppy celebrated by posting a bunch of pictures from time spent with her fiance, Ryan Taylor, with the caption:

6. Beauty

Big Brother Naija housemate and 43rd Miss Nigeria, Beauty Tukura was gifted with heart shaped chocolates for her valentine. She posted the sweet gesture on social media while writing "I wasn't expecting this".

7. Peggy Ovire

Finally, in celebration of Valentine's, newly wed Peggy Ovire took to social media to post a collection of moments shared with her husband, actor Fredrick Leonard saying:
