Funke Akindele Opens up About JJC Skillz, Praises Him in New Interview
Here's everything she said

Nigerian actress and producer Funke Akindele set the internet abuzz when pictures surfaced online from the "She Must Be Obeyed" premiere showing Akindele with her ex-husband, JJC Skillz, hugging, laughing, and being friendly towards each other.
This came as a surprise to many who believed the breakup between JJC Skillz and Funke Akindele was unamicable and spiteful. If it was or wasn't, the public display of friendship despite their breakup was heart warming for people to see, and in a new interview with Channels Television, Funke Akindele talks about the new show "She Must Be Obeyed" which was produced by her and JJC - and also praises JJC, and talks about his input in the show. Here's what Funke Akindele said.

Speaking first about the show "She Must Be Obeyed" produced by Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz, Funke Akindele said:
FUNKE AKINDELE: The most important thing is telling our African stories you understand. Telling it properly. Showcasing what we have in our culture through drama, through music, and that's what we've been able to do with "She Must Be Obeyed". We know that in every industry, not just entertainment, once there is heirarchy, there will be competition. Competition is normal, it's proper, it's welcome. But unhealthy competition is what I have zero tolerance for and this is what this series is all about. We need to discourage it you understand. And we have people who will do anything to be up there, they can kill to be up there, they can hurt anyone as long as they're successful. So with this show, we say a big no to that.
Speaking further about JJC Skillz and his input towards the show, and especially the music, Funke Akindele said:
FUNKE AKINDELE: Big shoutout to JJC Skillz. He wrote the songs and Puffy Tee produced the songs. It was fun all through I must say. I didn't lean on Waje. JJC Skillz knows his onions and he was there to say "no do it this way", "you're gonna sing it this way". He sang it and I just laid my voice on it. So it was fantastic. It was a great experience.
