Finding Our Way Back

Eve had just finished with her doctor's appointment and walked out into the waiting room, where Jack Deveraux and Brady Black looked like they were having a staring contest.

"Eve are you okay," both men asked.

"What the hell is he doing here," Jack asked.

"I'm the one who brought her to the hospital and waited for three hours after she collapsed in pain," Brady said.

"Guys, just stop or I swear I'll knock you both out."

Eve was already trying to decide how she was going to tell Jack that she wanted an annulment.

"She's my wife!" Jack was now upset.

"Jack, before you say anything else, the two of us need to talk. Let's go back to the hotel room."

"Eve, do you need anything?"

Brady was concerned.

"I'll be fine. Thank you."

Eve hugged Brady before she and Jack walked away.

"So what happened," Jack asked when he and Eve were in the car.

"Jack, I want an annulment as soon as possible," Eve blurted out.

"Why?"

Jack was confused.

"Because..."

Eve thought for a minute.

"What is it," Jack asked.

"Because I just want an annulment."

Eve knew why. She was pregnant and she was pretty sure it was Brady's baby.

"But I love you."

Jack had sadness in his voice. They soon arrived back at the hotel room.

"What's really going on?"

"I want an annulment because this marriage isn't real. We both know it."

Eve had to do something so she could figure out how to sneak off and see Brady.

"What are you doing?"

Jack watched as Eve pulled out a suitcase and started packing some things.

"I'm going to fly out to California and see Theresa for a few days."

"You were just in the hospital a few hours ago."

"Jack, you can't stop me. Just let me go."

Eve soon left the hotel and drove as fast as she could to see Brady. After what seemed like years, Eve finally arrived at the Kiriakis Mansion. Jack soon pulled up and watched as Brady let Eve inside the house.

"I thought Theresa lived in California," Jack said to himself.

Meanwhile, inside the house, Brady and Eve were discussing Eve's pregnancy.

"So you didn't tell Jack that you're pregnant? Why is that?"

Brady was now curious.

"Because the babies are yours."

Eve now had tears in her eyes.

"Are you sure," Brady asked.

"The only person I've been making love to is you. Jack and I have been sleeping in separate beds for the last six months. I keep making every excuse in the book not to sleep with him."

Eve gently rubbed her belly in a circular motion.

"What are you going to do?"

"Well, one thing's for sure. I am going to find an apartment before I have these babies six months from now. I'm also going to have my marriage to Jack annulled."

Eve stood up and was getting ready to leave when Brady grabbed her and kissed her passionately.
