Doesn’t matter where you are when you’re not with me!

This February was slightly colder than the last. With heavy rains, flights were backed up til the next morning! She could not make it in and the pattern displayed no signs of direct flights to DAL and all of them holding in a far away city!

She gave a ring with sad news and care in her voice wishes she was there right by my side! I didn’t care where she was and knowing her voice was not next to me; I was hopelessly lost almost to the point of throwing a bottle with note in the gulf sea!

My February from you, made the month even colder and the night much longer! I cancelled reservations and got me a quick TV dinner. Takeout or DoorDash just couldn’t due. Couldn’t bring myself to seeing another soul because looking at you made me feel brand new.

They say people don’t do this anymore, but I do it for the sake of love! There’s no mystery when since that day, I knew that all things are directed from above. So wherever you are on the night of connecting hearts, I felt best to let you know that it will never be a time to do less than my part.

So Wednesday may have many moving parts and your thoughts may be far from the day. Just know you not being with me, all other things shouldn’t selfishly matter! You gave me a look that said you deserve love in the best form on a silver platter.

So as the rain falls in this city of a million souls, you not being with me, is deeper cut to the bone of this chilling cold! Your voice is distant and your touch is so far away! This lonely day in February is so cold, I just pray that the chills will run off in May!

So waiting for Valentines may not come or is never promised. So this moment and at this very hour, with the scent of fresh flowers and with Cupid’s greatest power; I give this shot and hope that you knowing my last cry is for you in this February shower!

Cannot get back the missed opportunities, nor can I shy away from the desire to see your smile! The planes might not be flying, but I’d labor to see you if it meant driving many miles!

This moment I know you’re not with me and this is the true stuff this day is made of! Trying to win the heart and capture to moment in someone’s eye! Valentine’s are moments you should spend with someone who desires to be your guy!

So you could be stuck in a city because of rain, or far away and that doesn’t matter because you’re not here next to me!

So I write this for many reasons, but selfishly for myself! I write this for those who are hesitant to open their arms to love again. I write this as I was taught to walk in luv and not to walk in shame. Those who are afraid to express their feelings has already lost the most important game! I write this because I’m in pursuit of a heart worthy to be held! I write this to see a smile glow on not only a day like this, but for many days to come!

So wherever you are, it really doesn’t matter. Just know I wanted you here, next to me and celebrating this space and time! This day, I boldly extend my thoughts to you as I connected slightly with your soul, but also understanding that you have other places to be and that may even leave me cold.
