Does the world need to change?
Can we ever achieve peace and harmony? Can we ever be seen as equals? What can we change, to be better?

Before, I begin speaking about the world I want to just give us a brief moment to remember the lives taken without real justice, people of colour have been persecuted for many years, centuries even but for what reason? Why do people still believe there is a difference between us, when in actuality there isn't. We are all the same, we're humans and we all deserve the same respect, so how come it's lacking for people of colour, people of certain religions, people that identify themselves differently or those people who are homosexuals?
Historically, every country has been to blame for discriminating against people usually dependent on their skin colour but sometimes even for their wealth, gender etc. Women have suffered, being told that not only do their rights mean nothing but they're man's property, that freedom isn't something worth giving to them, or jobs, but we've had such a movement that women are now seen more equally there is still much wrong, but it's an improvement nonetheless. Being a woman myself, I have endured the horrendous cat-calling when walking down the pavement, I have endured being told a job isn't suitable to me because of my gender, and I have been treat differently. However, I still can't imagine what people go through every day when people are prosecuted ( murdered in cold blood ) just for being a certain skin colour, George Flloyd is a recent example of this, a police officer leaning upon his throat for no apparent reason as he begged for his life, claiming that he couldn't breathe and the officer just kept going without batting an eye to the injustice he was causing or the effect this would have on the world in general.
Bringing onto my first question, can we ever achieve peace and harmony? Will we ever be able to live side by side without judging one another for something unreasonable? Now to me, this is unknown because the world has been going for centuries, with slavery and plantations that often worked people to death, that whipped them for disobeying and viewed as animals for no reason other than skin colour, from women being punished for wanting freedom, for wanting to be something more than a stay at home wife only useful for cooking, cleaning and bringing children into existence, it has never made sense to me. Growing up, I was taught to treat everyone with respect, to treat other's how you want to be treated and that's given me a positive outlook on everyone, it's giving me the opportunity to not be judgemental, it's often caused more trouble than good on occasions but I would never disrespect someone for no reason, this is how we should be raising children of the future, it's how we should all be, if we want to be mature and accepting than we need to understand that nobody is perfect, but we should never judge a book based on its cover ( I know that's quite the common saying, but it's true )
My second question, can we ever be seen as equals? I mean everyone in general, from women, to the LGBT community, to people of different nationalities etc. I have always believed everyone is the same, we're all human, we all breathe and we all think, having emotions that need to be examined properly. But, with our society it's never going to seemingly happen, people are struggling every day to be themselves, to come out to their family, or to walk down the street or to even speak their mind in certain locations. Now, everyone has a personality, everyone has dreams and aspirations, everyone has their rights - why can't it be seen that way instead of continuing to unrightly murder people for no reason, to end an innocent person's life, in regard to law enforcement in general, there is no need to pull out a gun unless the criminal is dangerous or carrying a weapon themselves, why is it alright to kneel upon someone's neck, there should be more training in place, and stricter punishment for going against the status quo. For many years, I have read about corruption without law enforcement, of people spending decades in prison for something that hadn't done, or even remotely committed. Fairness is something that should be taught in detail, not how to fire a gun.
Now, in regards to my last question, what can we change? What do you think we should change? Myself personally, I feel there is much more that needs to change, people should be heard. Everyone has a voice, and a freedom to that speech, stop taking that away because you're scared of the unknown, accept other's for who they are and not what they look like, and stop being just horrid.
Please remember that you are you, don't change for anyone and don't accept nothing when you deserve the world, and so does everybody else. NO more killing, NO more injustice and NO more discriminating against people that seem different to you.
