Everyone has his or her own demons. No, not the sort that a priest can come do an exorcist due to a possession. This sort is far worse. It is the kind developed from some sort of problem or trauma. I have heard these demons called flaws. While, others call them nothing. Flaws are someone's weak points. Weak points are like "I snore", "I do not trust easily", or "I have this scar from work and it looks ugly". The demons in which I am referring to go inward, far more inward. How can you deal with something you cannot see? How can you fight those inner demons? Well that would depend on the demon. People are in the world that have it worse than others. Some people have anxiety. That only is personal torment that most often can lead to depression. Depression is horrible too. You know you should not be sad but yet it is worse than sadness. Though those two are bad in themselves there are some that might be considered to be a bit more inward. What do most people call these more misunderstood inner demons? Psychopaths.
When you get the time, go to whichever search engine you prefer and type in the search bar "psychopath". I would just about bet my house that you will probably be surprised at the results that would pop up. Let me put it this way. Hollywood loves buffing up and playing up the stereotypes of groups of issues and mental situations. Hollywood has gone overboard with playing up what a psychopath is. They are portrayed as crazy mass murderers. Well after your search, you would see them in a different light. In reality, I believe I read that about 1 percent of the worlds population are considered to be a psychopath. I know that is shocking to hear, well read, but it explains a lot. I was shocked too. Psychopath is basically a group of characteristics that may be present in a person. How these characteristics are handled when they first appear will determine if the situation is extinguished or inflamed into an inner demon. These characteristics can begin showing as early as toddler years. It can not be diagnosed until , I believe, as early as teenager years.
So how do we fight these inner demons? That is an excellent question my fellow humans. One I have yet to find the answer for. I just know that my " demons " and your "demons" may be similar, but they are not the same. No two people will have the exact same inner demon. Let us assume that person A is female, age is late twenties, and her inner demon is anxiety. Hers is so bad that one bad day in her life can cause her to go into a depression. She knows of her demon, and openly admits it so that when others around her see the signs that too much is happening they might be able to help prevent. Person B is male , age is late thirties, and his inner demon is Anxiety. He knows of his inner demon but he will not acknowledge it until it is flared up to the point it sparks the insercurities. Person C is female, she is not yet 10. Her inner demon is behavorial issues. She does not know how to cope with her demons. Most grown adults would just blame it on her being a child even after hearing what her parents have proven to have happened that should cause enough concern to want to help the child in any way that they can so that she can learn to with her demons in healthy nonviolent ways. Person D is female, age is late twenties, and her inner demon is behavorial. She knows of this demon but refuses any help dealing with it because she says she is not wrong and that she is fine. Those around her are the ones who have to cope with her behavior. Person E is female, age is mid thirties, and her inner demon is like spinning a wheel. Her worst demon no will tell her , due to not spark the tnt that is within the woman, is she thinks she is allowed to get away with saying and doing whatever she likes.
So let us fight them together. We are stronger together than separate individuals. We should listen to one another and be willing to learn ways to help cope with the issues at hand. We should honestly admit our demons to ourselves first. The thing many people do not seem to understand is that many of these demons are all connected. So let us all say HEAR ME OUT! I AM HUMAN TOO!
The next thing I would like to say is for all of you. I would like to thank everyone that reads what I write. There are a few parts to a couple stories over in Fiction. If you know of a way to comment on how I can improve or keep the same, I would highly appreciate the insight from your point of view.
