Chen Yan was born in Hefei, Anhui Province in 1988. When she graduated from junior college, she took over a flower shop in her hometown. She has struggled because of the fierce competition in the flower business.

One day in 2009, she went to a friend's wedding, and the bride came out throwing colorful plastic petals from the air. "Why not use flower petals? Isn't that more romantic?" Chen Yan was puzzled. After the wedding, she asked the bride, who said: "Plastic products are cheaper than flowers, flowers are so expensive, how much will the whole wedding cost?"

Is there any way to buy cheap petals? Chen Yan thought.

The next day, a newly opened restaurant brought back eight large flower baskets that had been rented for the celebration. She thought: her flower shop often rents out flower baskets, and every time she takes them back, she, like all her peers, throws them into the dustbin. If you can collect the petals of the residual flowers, and resell them to the wedding company, up and down the real "petal rain" in the wedding, is not waste into treasure?

Chen Yan did as she said. She collected all the used flowers, tore off the intact, brightly colored petals one by one, and put them into plastic bags by color: pink rose, purple hyacinth, fiery rose... Looking at the bags of fragrant petals, Chen Yan seemed to see a bright future.

Wedding "petal rain" wafts fragrance wealth

Chen Yan with petals, to the wedding company to sell. The price of no more than 200 yuan per kilogram attracted the eyes of wedding companies, they are very willing to buy her for a long time at the price of 180 yuan per kilogram -- a wedding with 1 kilogram of petals is enough, and the couple will not be stingy with this money.

With her flower shop far from enough to produce petals, Chen signed an agreement with more than 10 flower shops to buy residual flowers at an annual fee of 2,000 yuan.

The problem arises when you accumulate more petals -- fresh petals can only be kept for two or three days at most, and weddings are sometimes only encountered once every two months, so a lot of petals are wasted. To keep the petals fresh, Chen sprinkles them with water frequently. The wedding company soon received feedback from customers: "The petals of flowers are heavy in the water, and once sprinkled up, they immediately fall to the ground. It is difficult to create a colorful artistic conception in the air."

The problem is solved if the flowers are processed into dried petals, which can be stored for a long time and reduce the weight of the petals. Chen researched many materials and finally succeeded in turning flower petals into dried petals by using the indoor natural air drying method used to make raisins. She raised the price to 580 yuan per kilogram since only one jin of dried flower petals can be obtained after three jin of flower petals are air-dried.

The dried petals, with their faint fragrance, soon won the hearts of newcomers. A female white-collar worker said: "At the wedding scene when the colorful petals fell in a beautiful arc in the air, I felt like a princess in a fairy tale..."

Due to the growing business of flower petals, in early 2010, Chen Yan stopped selling flowers and changed the name of her shop to "Flower Shop".

China's biggest flower petal business

Because many young people like to use dried petals to decorate their rooms, Chen Yan has a new inspiration: why not make dried petals into small crafts and take them to boutiques and supermarkets to sell?

After market research, she found that dried petals were still a blank in Anhui and even the whole country. Soon, she ordered beautiful craft bottles of different sizes and grouped them under the theme of "Zodiac lucky flowers". For example, Taurus's lucky flowers are roses, violets, and daffodils. She put the three dried petals into a small bottle. Virgo's lucky flowers are Cosmos and hyacinth, so she puts these two petals in a bottle and sells them to the person of the corresponding sign.

Small bottles have become "mascots" that bring luck and blessings, and naturally, they are very popular. For a time, it has become a fashion to buy "constellation petal bottles". The product has also been selling well in supermarkets and boutiques. In June 2010, Chen set up a small processing plant and had workers mass-produce "petal bottles."

Considering WHITE-COLLAR FAMILY JOB PRESSURE IS BIG, Chen YAN MAKES UP "WHITE-COLLAR PETAL BOTTLE" LAVENDER AND LILY PETAL ARE INSTALLED IN, OFTEN SMELL THIS KIND OF SWEET FLOWERS, HAVE THE ACTION THAT RELAXES BODY AND MIND, PLACATORY HEART, CALM AND CALM. This is both a romantic and intimate design, very pleasing. Then, she took advantage of the opportunity to launch the "lovers petal bottle" "blood type petal bottle" and so on.

An out-of-town customer in Hefei bought a piece of dried flower crafts, loved it, and many friends around also like it, so she called Chen Yan and asked if she could express a few "petal bottles" to her. Seeing such a wide market outside the province, Chen Yan started the wholesale business of "wedding flower petals" and "fashion flower bottles" online.

In August 2011, Chen Yan registered the establishment of "Flower Love Trading Co., LTD.", while processing and selling classic products, while developing new products. More than three months later, Chen Yan's packaged petal bath, petal tea, petal mask, and other products successfully entered the market. Nowadays, these new products with the slogan of "bubble health", "drink body fragrance" and "apply beauty" have become the favorite of white-collar women.

By February 2013, the 25-year-old had amassed millions of yuan. On the success of her business, she says: "There are as many ways to sell these humble petals as there are brains; There is wealth in these petals as much as you put in."
