Donald Trump, the 45th President of the USA, is a successful businessman in addition to his political personality. Do you know? The Trump Organization, owned by Donald Trump, has more than five hundred businesses in twenty-five countries worldwide. From real estate business to hotels, casinos, golf courses, and more. Until 2019, his total wealth was three and a half billion dollars.
So today I will tell you which business Trump was involved in and what businesses he is currently running.
1. Real Estate
Donald Trump is one of the most famous real estate moguls in the world. Trump organization,s real estate portfolio includes luxurious properties in Virginia, Florida, New Jersey, Nevada, California, New York, and Hawaii. The Trump Organization's real estate firm has several luxurious and high-rise buildings in New York alone. Notable among them are Trump Tower, Trump Park Condos, Trump Palace, Trump Plaza, etc. But Trump Tower is the most well-known of these and is the headquarter of the Trump Organization. Commercial space is rented out in the building, which currently houses the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Gucci, and Tiffany & Co, among others.
2. Hotel Business
Donald Trump also owns several hotels owned by the Trump organization. Apart from Elian, Nevada, Florida, New York, and Hawaii in the USA, it also has international hotels outside the USA in the islands of Panama and Canada. Also, there are hotels under construction in different places under Trump Organization. One of those business travel hotels in Chicago is Trump International Hotel and Tower. The hotel has AAA Five Diamond rating since 2011. Trump's 2018 income from real estate and hotel business was $144.4 million.
3. Casino Business
Donald Trump is also involved in the casino business, under the Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts Company. Trump also has three casinos named Trump Castle, Trump Plaza, and Trump Taj Mahal. In the 1990s, the company's shares continued to grow exponentially. In 1996, the company's market value exceeded one billion dollars. Trump owned about 400 million dollars with a 41% stake in it. However, the company later fell into a lot of debt, and in 2014, Trump Plaza was closed. The Trump Taj Mahal, built in 1999 at a cost of one and a half billion dollars, was sold for only fifty billion dollars in 2017. And so one of Trump's failed businesses was the casino business.
4. Golf Course Business
Donald Trump has been in the golf course business since 1999. Trump had a total of seventeen golf courses in the USA and other countries of the world when he was declared president in 2006. In 2015, the revenue from Trump's golf business was 382 million dollars. Trump's golf course was chosen to host various PGA and LPGA events as well as the 2022 PGA Championship. According to the 2018 report, Trump's income from all golf courses was 247.7 million dollars. Seventy-six million dollars came from Florida's Doral golf course alone.
5. Modeling Agency Business
Donald Trump also had a modeling agency called Trump Model Management Company. The agency was founded in New York in 1999. He founded it mainly from his interest in beauty pageants. Later from this agency, he produced reality shows like Miss USA Pageant and Pageant Place. Moreover, Trump was also a partner in Miss Universe. However, he closed the agency after becoming president in 2017. Until then, his share in the company was eighty-five percent.
In addition to these businesses, Trump has several other successful and failed businesses. Trump Shuttle, trump magazine, trump university, trump mortgage, trump production, trump jets, etc. are notable among them.
