Alice Morriston was a renowned hiker known for her adventurous spirit and deep connection to nature. Inspired by her parents, Morriston and Jane, who were also avid hikers, Alice found her passion early on. By the age of 20, she had already explored numerous hiking destinations, including the Swiss Alps, Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Mount Fuji, and the Inca Trail.
One day, while watching a BBC documentary about deserted islands, Alice felt an irresistible urge to explore these remote and untouched locations. The idea of hiking on a deserted island captivated her imagination. She began her research, delving into the details of various islands such as Devon Island, Hawadax Island, Phoenix Island, and Auckland Islands. After thorough consideration, she narrowed her choices down to Phoenix Island and Auckland Island. Both islands intrigued her, but after a week of contemplation, she chose Phoenix Island.

Phoenix Island had a unique ecosystem and an abundance of exceptional marine life, which also posed significant hazards. But there was another, more personal reason for Alice's choice: Phoenix Island was the last place her parents had visited before they mysteriously disappeared. Determined to uncover any clues they might have left behind, Alice knew this journey would be life-changing.
Finding someone to take her to Phoenix Island proved challenging. The island's remote location and treacherous waters deterred many. However, Alice's persistence paid off when she found a guide willing to take her close to the island. Due to the dangerous thunderstorms and unpredictable waters surrounding Phoenix Island, the guide could only drop her off at a safe distance. From there, Alice continued in a small lifeboat.
As she navigated the rough waters, a fierce storm struck. Thunder roared, and lightning illuminated the sky. Sea creatures, drawn by the commotion, attacked her boat. Despite her best efforts, the boat began to sink. Injured but undeterred, Alice swam towards the shore. She reached the island, collapsing from exhaustion and pain as soon as she arrived.
When Alice regained consciousness, she tended to her wounds with the limited supplies she had. Her resolve strengthened, she set off to explore the island. It wasn't long before she encountered the island's dangers. A group of hostile creatures chased her, forcing her to run for her life. In her frantic escape, she fell into a pit. The fall saved her from the creatures but left her with a new challenge: finding a way out of the pit.
While searching for an escape, Alice discovered a sparkling object embedded in the ground. As she touched it, she was instantly teleported out of the pit, and the object vanished. Shocked but relieved, she didn't linger. She found a cave where she spent the night, pondering the strange occurrence.
The next day, Alice resumed her search for any clues her parents might have left. Near a lake, she found her mother's locket, which contained a picture of their family. The sight of it brought her to tears. Driven by a mix of grief and hope, she dove into the lake, discovering a hidden passage that led to a mysterious cave.
Inside the cave, darkness enveloped her. Undeterred, she pressed on, her flashlight guiding the way. After walking for what felt like an eternity, she found an inscription on a stone: "For Alice Morriston." She moved the stone aside, revealing a recorder and a cassette tape. Trembling, she played the tape and heard her parents' voices. They urged her to live a good life without them and sang her favorite lullaby. Overcome with emotion, Alice cried, holding the recorder close.
Emerging from the cave, Alice felt a sense of closure. She made her way back to the shore, where she had prepared a boat for her departure. Navigating out of the dangerous waters, she eventually spotted a larger vessel that took her back to civilization.
Upon her return, Alice cherished the memories of her parents and the remarkable journey she had undertaken. Her story became a sensation in the city, inspiring many youngsters to embrace adventure and explore the world. Alice Morriston had not only honored her parents' legacy but also created one of her own.
