A Gothic Romantic’s Journey
You’ve found me, and I’m grateful for that! My name is Luna J. Munroe, and I’m that weird high school girl who wore black lipstick and gothic clothing every day and stomped around in platform combat boots just to irk the teachers. The one who was desperate to feel “ordinary” and wrote poems about death, dying, and suicide. I’m the one who kept decaying leaf art in her binder and dead flowers in her notebook just because she thought they were beautiful.
I enjoy reading, writing, and all forms of art, particularly those that are free of rules or structure. I’ve been a creative writer and/or artist for most of my life. I am a dedicated visual artist who strives to have more of my work published. I identify as a gothic romantic mixed with Dark Cottagecore and academia as someone who enjoys both gothic and poetic art. I am a daughter and sister who lives with their mother and older sister. I work full time as an artist, writer, and actor. Being an author is not something that comes naturally to me. It took me a long time to learn to express myself, and now I’m ready to share what God has placed on my heart by publishing my personal stories.
Thank you for visiting my nonfiction blog, which is basically my Vocal open diary. I’m an author, writer, actor, filmmaker, artist, and entrepreneur who was recently featured in an indie series as an actress. For quite some time, I’ve been writing. But this year, I was introduced to Vocal Media by my sister! I’m enthusiastic about this publishing platform, and I’ve written, published, and will continue to write stories on it. “Bloodbound: Shadows of the Fallen” is currently ongoing. Please take a look at it and let me know if you are interested in my fantasy fiction stories.

We can express ourselves in a variety of ways, but for some, creativity is paramount. Creativity allows us to explore different aspects of our personalities that societal norms and expectations, whether through music, poetry, acting, or artwork has suppressed. You must let yourself shine in order to live your life fully. Don’t give up on your dreams and goals just because they’re out of the ordinary or uncool. People will always appreciate your artistry and individuality as long as you stay true to yourself. I know I do!
There isn’t just one project that I enjoy working on.
In terms of writing, art, and creating and designing high-and low-content books, journals, and notebooks, my current favorite project is designing my first poetry book; more information will be available soon! I’ve always wanted to put together a book of my poetry, short stories, and artwork. I’m making it with my own graphic design skills, possibly my photography, and free-stock photos from the internet.
I’ve been an actress since I was a child. Beauty and the Beast was my favorite stage production. It was undoubtedly a highlight.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from meeting fellow artists from different levels of success and walks of life, it’s that we all have a strong desire to express ourselves and be true to ourselves. There is no such thing as a single authentic self; rather, our authentic selves can shift depending on what we do, who we spend time with, where we live, and other influences. This authenticity does not come in a single package; rather, it comes in several. Writing is one of those endeavors for me where I can be who I am unapologetically. And, while your path may not be the same as mine or anyone else’s, I admire you for taking the first steps toward being yourself. You never know when someone will comment on how much you remind them of themselves when they were younger. I wish I had had faith in myself back then! So whether you like reading or writing, this is a great way to be you! I am excited to keep participating on this platform!
