As Simone Simmons, was getting off work today, she needed to stop at the grocery store.
She needed to figure out, what to cook for dinner? She didn’t have much time. It looks as if a major storm was headed her way. It was partly cloudy and the clouds were turning a dark grey. There was a loud sound of thunder in the sky.
As Simone was walking through the door of the grocery store, she wondered,” Why does it always start to rain, when you least expect it to?”
She thought to herself,” Oh well, I can’t stop it!”
Deciding what to cook for dinner is becoming a hassle.
Simone entered the revolving doors to the store. While walking down the junk food aisle, she got
excited looking at all of the goodies. She was on a budget and knew she really couldn’t afford to buy
everything she saw. She thought to herself, “Why did I come down this aisle? She hurried up and started
walking really fast.
Then all of a sudden, she fell flat on her bottom. All of the groceries she had picked up fell everywhere around her.
She looked up and a little old lady approached her and stated, “Oh my God honey, are you alright?”
Simone was devastated and didn’t know what to say.
The next thing she noticed; an attractive young man came running her way. She was so embarrassed.
The handsome young man walked toward her and stated,” Ma’am, are you okay?” “Please, let me help
you.” Are you hurting anywhere?” Do we need to get you a doctor or ambulance? By the way, my name is Trevor.” And the little old lady stated, “My name is Beatrice.”
As Simone was receiving help from Trevor and Beatrice, she noticed a tall, slim man with a tie on and
carrying a clipboard, approaching her. He looks like he could be the manager.
Simone was devastated and embarrassed. How could something like this happen to her? Luckily, she
didn’t hurt herself too bad. She let everyone know that she did not need any medical assistant. And that hopefully she would be fine.
She thanked them all for being there to help her. She found out the managers’ name was Brock Peters. They exchanged phone numbers, just in case she woke up the next day hurting.

Trevor approached her and stated, “Could they exchange phone numbers too!” I would like to see you again. I am a single man looking for a friend.”
Simone was shocked and didn’t know how to respond. Finally, she stated, I guess that would be fine.”
Simone decided that she couldn’t get any groceries after all she had been through. All she wanted to do
was, go home and cry!
Trevor walked her to her car to make sure she was safe. They both told each other,” See you later!”
Simone drove home alone, wondering if she would ever see this fine young man again.
Weeks went by and Simone could not get Trevor off of her mind. She was hoping that he would have called her by now. Everyday she would check her messages and to no avail, he never called her.
Approximately two months later, on her way from work, she stopped by the grocery store where she had fell. She had not been there since that incident. She was still embarrassed! Hopefully, no one would remember her.
Once again, while walking down the junk food aisle, she turned around and “oh my golly”, she looked up and who did she see: It was Trevor! She stood there, lost for words and couldn’t even get out the words to at least speak.
Trevor noticed her instantly, and said,” Hello Miss Simone! How are you? How have you been?” Simone stepped back and replied, “Hello Trevor, I am doing better. I thought I would never see you again. Especially since you never contacted me.”
Trevor replied,” Oh, Simone, I am so sorry. I meant to call you and felt you probably wouldn’t want to see me. Since we are standing here right now, can I take you out to dinner on Saturday night?”
Simone didn’t know what to say. She thought to herself,” How dare he ask her to go out to dinner.” She looked into his beautiful eyes and replied, “Yes, Saturday at 7:00pm would be fine.”
Suddenly she had a strange feeling in her heart and mind that she should have said no. They both exchanged phone numbers and addresses. They both departed their separate ways.
Well, Saturday had arrived and Trevor should be at her place within the next four hours. She didn’t know where they were going, so she had the foggiest idea of what to wear. “How should I dress?” She decided to wear something nice, since she wanted to impress him.
At approximately 7:15pm, no Trevor. She hoped he wasn’t standing her up! If he was running a little late, the least thing he could have done was call her.
Now it’s 7:35pm, still no Trevor or phone call! She wondered to herself, “What the hell is going on?” She could not believe this. She was devastated and highly upset! She thought to herself, she should have listened to her first mind and said “No.”

She was looking forward to her first date in years. And now she remembers, what it feels like to be stood up, again!” What a (a..hole)! All she can think of is, I bet not ever see him again, or else.”
Several weeks went by, and Simone still could not get Trevor off of her mind. She just knew, he could have been her future husband. How crazy? He never showed up or called her. She still had his phone number in her phone. Her first mind was telling her to call him and find out why he stood her up. Maybe after she talked to him, she can move on with her life, instead of thinking of him every day, continuously.
After she cooked and ate dinner alone, she found Trevor’s address and phone number. A second thought came to mind, what if she took a drive by his house, and really surprised him.” She wondered, “What will she be walking in to?” “Did he already have a girlfriend, or was he a cheater, and already married?” Well whatever, she was going to take a chance and finally get some answers. “Hell, its been long overdue.” As she was driving, her mind started wandering. She thought to herself, nowadays, men have 2 to 3 wives in the same city or town.
Simone decided to make the phone call, after she checked out the scenery at the address, he had given her. She was determined to get a final answer, regardless.
When she arrived at the house, Simone sat in the car nervous as to what she would find. Approximately ten minutes later, a royal blue sportscar pulled up in the drive way. A young man got out with an umbrella and a leather briefcase. Simone hoped that Trevor, didn’t see her parked across the street from his home.
As, Trevor was walking to the front door, it suddenly open and a female ran out the door grabbing Trevor and kissing him all over! As Simone pulled out her cellphone to take pictures, she also noticed that the female appeared to be approximately six months pregnant.
All she could do, is holler, “Oh My GOD, this woman must have gotten pregnant around the time, she originally met Trevor at the grocery store.
No wonder he never called or showed up!!!
Simone hurried up, started her car and drove as fast as she could, to get away from Trevor’s house.
On the way home, all she could think about was WHY! WHY! and WHY!!

It took Simone several days to get over Trevor. She asked God, " Why did she fall in the grocery store that day she had met Trevor?" She just knew they were destined to be together.
She also wondered, "Why would he originally tell her that he was a single man, looking for a friend?"
Simone wanted to forget about everything that happened that day pertaining to Trevor. She needed to move on with her life. Maybe one day, she will find Mr. Right! Maybe she needed some counseling to get her mind and soul on the right path.
Approximately, sixty days later, Simone decided to find a psychologist to help her get over her emotions. There has to be a way to escape these feelings she was having.
It has been approximately nine months since the incident at the grocery store. If she could turn back the hands of time, she wished she would have never gone to the grocery store that day. Besides it was a bad storm approaching along with dark grey skies, and thunder. Now she believes that was her cue to go straight home and not to the grocery store....
