A Love That Never Ends

Love is a beautiful feeling. Sometimes, it happens when we least expect it, and sometimes, it doesn’t last forever. But real love leaves a mark on the heart—a memory that never fades. This is the story of Aarav and Meera, two people who found a deep and special love, even though their time together was short.

It all began on a rainy day. Aarav was walking home from work when he saw a girl standing in the rain. She wasn’t running for cover. Instead, she stood still, her face turned up toward the sky, eyes closed, letting the raindrops fall on her skin. There was something peaceful and strong about her. That moment stayed in Aarav’s mind.

A week later, fate brought them together again. Aarav worked at a small bookstore, and Meera walked in looking for poetry books. She asked him for help, and he handed her a book of poems by Rumi. Their fingers touched for just a second, and she smiled. That smile was the beginning of everything.

Their love story started slowly. They went on long walks, shared coffee, and talked about music, books, and their dreams. Meera was different. She made Aarav feel safe and understood. With her, he didn’t have to hide his feelings. He could be himself.

But one evening, everything changed. Meera told Aarav a secret she had been hiding. She had a heart condition—a rare illness that couldn’t be cured. Her voice shook, and her eyes filled with tears as she said, “I didn’t want to tell you. I didn’t want you to treat me like I was already gone.”

Aarav didn’t say a word. He simply pulled her into his arms and held her close.

After that, they lived each day like it was a gift. They made memories, laughed a lot, and loved each other even more. They went on short trips, watched the stars at night, and danced in the rain. Meera never let her illness stop her from enjoying life. And Aarav never let her feel alone.

But time was not on their side.

One morning, Meera didn’t wake up. She passed away quietly in her sleep. Aarav sat by her hospital bed, holding her cold hand, unable to believe she was gone. The world felt empty without her. Nothing made sense anymore.

Days turned into weeks. Aarav didn’t talk much. He stopped reading and writing. Even music reminded him too much of her. Everything felt quiet, too quiet.

Then, one afternoon, he found a letter in his mailbox. It was from Meera.

Her handwriting was neat and soft, just like her voice.

The letter read:

My Aarav

If you’re reading this, I’m no longer by your side. But don’t be sad. You gave me the best days of my life. I wasn’t afraid because I had you. You made every moment special.*

Thank you for loving me the way you did.*

I want you to keep living, keep smiling. Fall in love again. Open your heart again. I will always be with you—in every sunset, in every song, and in every raindrop.*

With all my love,

Meera

Aarav cried, but for the first time, those tears brought a little peace. Meera’s words gave him strength. He reopened the bookstore. He started reading again. He even wrote poetry. And on another rainy day, he stood in the same place where he had first seen her. He closed his eyes, lifted his face to the sky, and smiled through the tears.

In that moment, he felt her.

Because true love never really ends. It just lives on in memories, in letters, and in the heart.
