66 years ago, he stole Einstein's brain. Cut it into 240 pieces and saved it. What did he find?

Einstein once explained the theory of relativity with a wonderful example: a person who sits with someone he is close to or happy with, even if an hour has passed, will spend as little as five minutes with him, because he will not spend enough time with him. A person's emotions affect his mental perception, which is relatively relative. If a person is alone, even if the clock has only gone five minutes, he will think that an hour is long.

In 1905, Einstein proposed the complete principle of relativity in a narrow sense, which was a landmark event in modern physics. Ten years later, Einstein again showed science the gravity equations of general relativity in their highest form, and he received the 1921 Nobel Prize in physics for his work alongside such scientific greats as Galileo and Newton.

Planck won the award three years before Einstein, but during World War I he was not so staunch in his opposition to the war as Einstein, who was praised for not signing Germany's so-called "Declaration of civilisation".

Einstein's death at Princeton 66 years ago was seen by the scientific community as a serious loss to the world, but the controversy surrounding Einstein has never ceased. Most notably, the disappearance of Einstein's brain.

The man who stole Einstein's brain was Thomas Harvey, the man responsible for determining the causes of Einstein's death. Although Harvey is the director of pathology of Princeton University Hospital, but the work of dissecting Einstein's body, originally does not belong to him, but belongs to Einstein's personal doctor Professor Zimmerman, who is Harvey's mentor, Zimmerman did not appear that day, so people have to doubt what Harvey did.

Why would Harvey steal Einstein's brain? Because Einstein was such a brilliant genius, everyone wanted to know how the brain of such a genius was different from that of the average person. Later in life, Harvey reflected on what he had done and said he had "no regrets."

Einstein, who began in 1879, was not as "full" as the rumor had it. Instead, he showed exceptional musical and mathematical talents at an early age. He mastered calculus at 15 and wrote his major theoretical physics paper on magnetic fields at 16. His passion for geometry and advanced mathematics also came from self-study in his early teens. At the age of 26, he easily won a doctorate from the University of Zurich, which was also known as the "Miracle Year of Einstein".

In other words, the "inspirational stories" about Einstein as a child who was stupid but grew up to perform amazing miracles are mostly false.

This is why Harvey made a startling move. He thought that Einstein's intelligence must be related to the structure of his brain, and if he could discover the secret, it would be of incalculable benefit to mankind in the long run.

In 1955, Harvey followed the procedure and carefully examined Einstein's organs, confirming that the cause of death was a ruptured large aneurysm. This should have now come to end of the matter, however, Harvey could not control his curiosity, he was confronted with Einstein's skull, the brain of genius! There was a temptation for him to resist. Unable to resist. He smuggled Einstein's brain out of the lab.

This was a distinct departure from Einstein's wish to be cremated quietly, and Harvey knew it was not a very honorable thing to be done, so he only told his mentor Zimmerman. Who knows, Zimmerman will be this matter out, Harvey instant place in the focus of public opinion, Einstein's family was shocked after learning of this matter, condemned Harvey, Harvey expressed a paranoid medical workers fanatics:

He repeatedly stated that he did not steal Einstein's brain for personal gain, but only for scientific research, because Einstein's brain contains so many "secrets only knew to God", it would be a shame if he were cremated.

Einstein's family will have to be studied by Harvey. Harvey cut it into 240 pieces and boxed it up for preservation, so what did he find?

Unfortunately, Harvey was not a neurologist, so the high-profile task had to be handed over to another neurologist.

Three decades after his death, a series of studies of Einstein's brain have been published in the journal Experimental Neurology. These studies show only subtle differences between Einstein's brain and that of ordinary people. So far, no breakthrough has been made.......

For example, Einstein eats a bowl of rice, we also eat a bowl of rice, although the number of rice is unique, but the overall difference is not big. In addition to Einstein, the brains of the mathematician Gauss and others have also been studied, and Gauss's brain, too, has not been found to be an observable physiological difference compared with the average person.

Therefore, the academic community generally believes that Harvey's "brain-stealing" act is of little significance, and it is better to let Einstein rest in peace. Regardless of the fact that Harvey passed away in 2007, his astonishing fact that year has tied his fame to Einstein to this day.

In fact, it is civil nature for people to have admiration and admiration for talented scientists, but there is no physiological factor for success, and the acquired efforts are also indispensable. As the old Chinese saying goes, "diligence makes up for stupidity", we may not have the wisdom of a genius, but we can still enrich our brain by reading more books, which is more meaningful than studying the brain of a genius, after all, the brain is born and knowledge is acquired.
