Nigerian singer Ayra Starr is enjoying a lot of fame and fortune right now. At just the age of 22 years old, Ayra Starr has become a global name and phenomenon and has dominated the music scene in ways that even she didn't think possible. But, one thing Ayra hadn't done before getting famous was date. And now, dating as an already established musician, that journey looks a lot more different for her than it does for other people her age. During a new interview with Rolling Stones, fellow musician Coco Jones asked Ayra Starr about how dating is for her now. In response, Ayra Starr got honest, and also opened up about 3 things she looks for in a partner. Here's what Ayra Starr had to say.

During the interview, Ayra Starr was asked "Answer as truthfully as you want: How has it been popping off and dating?" to which she responded:

AYRA STARR: It is hard because you have to be very careful about who you give your energy to. And I’m so happy I wasn’t really dating before I started music. I didn’t really know what I was missing. So now that I waited this long to date people, I have very high standards. If it’s gonna be hard to meet it, it’s gonna be bye-bye. But also, I don’t have time for myself, talk less of a boy.

"Would you want to date someone who’s in your industry because they’ll get it?"

AYRA STARR: In the dream world, it wouldn’t be somebody that is in the industry. Probably just like a billionaire. On a yacht. In Dubai. In a thong [laughs].

"I’m wishing for your billionaire, you know."

AYRA STARR: I’m just kidding. I don’t care too much about all that, because I make my own money.

"Girl, but ain’t nothing wrong with him being on your caliber."

AYRA STARR: Of course, hello! We have to both mentally stimulate each other. I’m very attracted to intelligent people. Intelligent, confident, and cute.
