Speaking about her height and the problems that it has caused her, Ruth got candid about it saying:
RUTH: My name is Ruth, they call me Mature Madam. I feel good, I feel happy, because God that created other people, it's the same God that created me. Even if I'm not tall, but it's the same body that they have that me too, I have. My height has deprived me of so many things in life.
[1] One of them is that I carried my WAEC form after I passed, let me go and teach so that I can get some small money to help me. They now carried me to school and showed me the children I'm supposed to teach, it was nursery school. As I entered school, that's how children got up and started to laugh. They thought it was small child that came to teach them. This my height has really given me problem well well.
[2] When people see me, they see me like a small child or they take me like a small child. Some little children that are just walking, maybe they haven't seen me before or they don't know me before, they will think I'm their mate. Even some children will just come and hit me on the head, then me I will even tell their mother that "hmm, madam, this your child thinks I'm a small child oh." But as it's a small child, he/she doesn't understand that me I'm not a small child again.
[3] When I try to stop motorcycle, I can be there from morning to night, no motorcycle will agree to carry me. Some will say if I sit down on their bike that I will fall. Some will say that with my height, is it only me that's going? Some will say they will not carry only me.
