2 Years Later, Oxlade Finally Talks With Girl About His Leaked Tape
Oxlade opens up

In 2022, Nigerian singer Oxlade had his world turned upside down when explicit videos of him were leaked online. The videos became a talking point across the country with some people calling him 'spider man' because of some of the positions he was in the video.
Not long after, Oxlade got a hit with "Ku Lo Sa" and refused to publicly talk about or address the leaked videos. But now, 2 years later, in a new date-style interview called The Datebizz, the singer is opening up to the interviewing girl and talking a little bit more about the leaks with a little bit of humor, and a lot of reflection on the time; speaking plainly about how the videos really affected him. Here's what Oxlade had to say.

During his interview, Oxlade was asked "What do you have to say about the incident that got the internet calling you a spiderman?" Oxlade responded:
OXLADE: I really have nothing to say about that because I didn't put it out, so why should I explain myself? God bless the internet by the way. 2022, I was told I was the most Googled person in Africa. Una like rubbish.
I mean, but what are we without what I did? I mean, we cannot exist without it. It was tutorial for the ones that are ignorant. It was enlightenment.
But y'know, it's not something I would say I'm proud of. Because I went to rehab for that shit. I lost everything for that. Nigeria is a very hypocritical country where everybody will chastise you as long as they are not caught. So, I learnt a lot from that. I mean, it's not like Nigerians always treated me special; and I love being Nigerian, don't get me wrong, don't get it twisted. But Nigeria no go actually gree you for you naturally, na you go fight for yourself.
So months after that, seeing my music get bigger than usual, than normal, it just made me realize that even before God bless you, Him gast test you. Him gast whine you. Whining dey the matter na, if whining no dey, how e go take complete? How the story wan take sweet? You just wake up one day, God just bless you, e no normal na. Na that one wey go come look like jazz. So basically, the bigger the level, the bigger the devil.
