11 Celebrities React to Federal Government Suspending Twitter in Nigeria (Photos)
From Tacha to Adesua

What won't we hear in this country abeg?
Today, the Federal Government of Nigeria announced ON TWITTER that they would be indefinitely suspending Twitter's operations in Nigeria. This comes a couple of days after Twitter removed the president Muhammadu Buhari's tweet from their platform.
In the now removed tweet, Buhari wrote:
Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.

The tweet was removed and flagged as a violation of the Twitter Rules.
Three days later and now the Federal Government has taken to social media (including Twitter) to write out saying:
The Federal Government has suspended, indefinitely, the operations of the microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria.

The announcement reads:
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, announced the suspension in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, citing the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate existence.
The Minister said the Federal Government has also directed the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to immediately commence the process of licensing all OTT and social media operations in Nigeria
After hearing the news of the suspension, as you can imagine, people all over the country went ballistic. Celebrities also went ballistic and today I'll be counting down 11 reactions from some of Nigeria's biggest celebrities. Are you ready to see it? Then let's go!
