Learn the true story of a terrible encounter with a white-sari spirit in a secluded forest of Himachal. Read a tourist's eye-opening experience.

The Woman in the White Sari – The Mystery of the Forest

A remote hill village in Himachal Pradesh, where deep forests stretched along winding roads. It was around 11 at night. Darkness so that the hand does not point to the hand. A cold wind began to blow through the trees.

Rohit, who was a tourist from Delhi, was returning to the hotel in his car. The road was empty – no vehicles, no human movement. Suddenly, the rear tyre of the car burst. Rohit stopped the car.

The mobile network was down. And there was no way to ask for help. He thought of changing the tyre himself.

As soon as he got out of the car, he realised that the surrounding air had become unusually cold. There were strange whispers among the trees, as if someone were slowly calling out his name. He mistook it for fatigue and leaned against the tyre.

Then he looked off to the side of the road.

A woman... in a white sari... was standing still.

Rohit was shocked. The woman's figure was blurred but clearly dressed in white. Her long hair was dishevelled, and there was a strange, sinister smile on her face.

The most frightening thing was his eyes were glowing red.

Rohit's body was bruised. He tried to back away, but then he saw something more terrifying –

The woman's legs were turned upside down, the heels forward and the claws backward!

He was completely silent. My feet were swollen, and my throat was dry. He tried to get into the car, but the panic was such that the key fell off.

Then he saw the woman slowly walk towards him. But her steps were not falling to the ground; she was floating in the air.

Not a word came out of Rohit's mouth. His eyes were dark with fear, and he fell unconscious on the road.

The next morning...

When Rohit regained consciousness, he found himself lying in the courtyard of an old temple. There were some sadhus sitting around chanting mantras. A monk gave him a drink of water and said:

"You're very lucky. If we had not brought you here in time, your soul would also have been stuck in that forest."

"Who was that woman?" asked Rohit in a trembling voice. "

The sage said seriously:

"This forest is home to a very old soul. A hundred years ago, a newly married woman committed suicide here, who was tortured by her in-laws. From then on, her spirit wanders in a white sari, dragging with it whoever it finds on that path during the night."

When Rohit enquired further from the priest of the temple, it was found that many people in that area had suddenly disappeared, and their vehicles were often found near the same road.

Whoever survived somehow lived the horror of that night for the rest of his life.

Rohit's life has changed.

After that incident, Rohit quit touring Himachal forever. He never travelled at night. His friends say that even today, when a woman wearing white clothes comes in front of him, he becomes sweaty.

They say there are some fears that don't last a lifetime.
